Final verdict: STAY AWAY.
Photo of the resort, rooms, and the surrounding areas are very misleading. There isn't much to do without paying a heavy price to get to the places around.
The breakfast at this hotel is overrated and not good at all as it made me and my friends sick. We chose to go to the Ritz Carlton for our food which was amazing.
Rooms are over priced.
Several light fixtures were out in the room. I stood in two different rooms and this was true for both of them. One room with lake view and another with pool access.
A/C was malfunctioning.
Chairs and the sheets were dirty when I arrived.
The business center charges you when you use it and they don't tell you till after you used it.
When calling down to get room service you have to call several times as it takes a while for someone to get to you. Understaffed.
Water came out of the sink and bathtub's yellow. Which is the reason they changed my rooms but not after having a long argument with the manager.
Other guest are rude and inconsiderate.
If you don't speak Chinese and speak English mainly like I do, you need to hire a translator, have a friend who speaks Chinese or not stay here at all because it was a struggle to communicate with them. When I called before hand they spoke great English but when I arrived no one seemed able to speak English past the ability to charge your card and mess up your stay.
Staff is very willing to say no why not try hard at all to work for the guest unless you push them about what you want. Which once again is hard to get communicate as no one speaks English.
Only good thing about this place is ONE STAFF MEMBER and her name was Miko. She is the best staff at the front desk and really tried to help...

The resort’s location is unbeatable, with direct access to the breathtaking Yalong Bay beach, known for its white sands and clear waters. It’s also conveniently close to the La Floret shopping area, which offers plenty of dining options, from local cuisine to well-known Western chains. The room was spacious and modern, with a cozy balcony overlooking the serene pool area. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, complete with a large bathtub that made for a relaxing end to each day. Families will appreciate the thoughtful touches like bunk beds in some rooms and the colorful indoor play areas for kids. The outdoor pool was a highlight for me, with its warm water and distinct sections for adults and children. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, featuring a wide array of local and Western options. I especially enjoyed the freshly cooked noodles and the tropical fruit selection. What made my stay truly memorable was the exceptional service from the staff, especially Jason at the front desk. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for me, offering great recommendations and always greeting me with a warm smile. His professionalism and friendliness really stood out.Overall, Palace Resort Yalong Bay is a gem. It offers comfort, convenience, and outstanding service at a great value. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, it’s a fantastic choice for a relaxing and enjoyable...
Read moreStayed here for 10 days with my wife and 4-year-old son.||||Overall we had a great stay. The hotel is clean and well managed, and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. No foreign TV channels on the TV but that was no big deal.||||F&B was very good and my son loved the giant aquarium in the dining room. Plenty to choose from at breakfast with a bit of variety across our stay. We also ate one night at the hotel's evening buffet and at the teppanyaki restaurant. Both were excellent.||||The swimming pool and play facilities are great for families, my son loved both, and the hotel itself has a great location very close to a lovely beach, more nice local restaurants and transport to other parts of Sanya.||||Overall we had a fantastic stay.||||Two small criticisms. First of all, why the heck do they still allow the odd selfish individual to smoke in the lobby, corridors, or even the elevators? I know this happens in China, but it drives me mad.||||The second thing is the hotel corridors can be very noisy and the rooms are not shielded from this. The pool is open until 10pm and every night, until well past midnight and on one occasion 2am, people are banging and shouting in the corridors, young kids still up and shouting, everyone banging their doors. it was more an annoyance than anything that detracted from our stay but, like the smoking above, the hotel team can take steps to manage this but they don't.||||If you want a nice quiet break this is not the...
