I spent the night of August 24, 2025 at this hotel without checking the reviews on Google beforehand. I was so satisfied that I decided to leave a comment. I’m actually very surprised by the low rating. Here is my review:
*Location: (see photo 6 for an airport map). The hotel is right in the middle. It is ideal if you have a flight to catch, as it is located at the very center of the airport (between Terminals 1 and 2). If you get lost, look for Middle Wuzhou Path (see photo 4). Of course, if your goal is to visit the city, this is not the right hotel for you.
*Service quality: this is not a leisure hotel but a transit hotel, intended for passengers in transit. So don’t expect leisure facilities (sauna, hammam, bar, etc.). However, for a stopover, it provides everything you need: comfortable bed, good shower, drinking water, tea, hair dryer, etc.
*Breakfast: for 30 RMB, you get an excellent breakfast, both Chinese and Western (the photo shows my own choice, but there are many options).
*Staff: reception is available 24/7. English is not always perfect, but the staff is helpful.
*Negative point: the hotel is very poorly signposted! Don’t look for a sign that says Dazhong Airport Hotel: all the signs only say Airport Hotel. The hotel is mainly recognizable by its central elevator (see photos 1 to 3).
*Quietness: from my room, I could see the planes and even a major road, but I didn’t hear a thing: the soundproofing is excellent. I stayed from 11:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., so perhaps it is a bit noisier during the day. The hotel provides earplugs (I didn’t need them).
Conclusion: this is a perfect hotel for a layover, but not for a...
Read moreAfter reading the comments here in google and from travel websites, I was not happy. I had a very long overlay of about 19 or 20 hours.
I withdrew the amount of cash needed to check in (room + deposit ) from the ATM in the airport, I prepared the printed out reservation email and then I went to the hotel with the lowest expectation ( Rude receptionist, air conditioning is not working, scamming guest for money ... ). I was pleasantly surprised.
Other than the receptionist during check in, with little to no English knowledge and the cleanliness is not top priority ( I have worked in Housekeeping in Motel One. Each room is being double checked by a floor supervisor after the cleaner is done. I would not call it disgusting, just not Standard.
overall, I would rate my experience there as good or at least " not bad ". I GOT LUCKY. The receptionist was not rude and I wasn't even asked to pay for a deposit which was not in the email reservation ( I've read from the travel websites that its 300 CN¥ ) and my room was OK.
I got a room with a working AC, a shower and I made makeshift comfy bed ( the bed was very hard. I am a fan of hard mattresses as I sleep on one, but that felt like I was sleeping on table. ( absolutely no cushion. An older person will get Pressure ulcer. ). I used the Duvet as a cushion, my jacket as blanket and just wore jogging pants which was...
Read moreWe took 45-minutes direct ride on the subway train from the city center. On arrival, we took a short walk from the station to the hotel following a clearly marked sign. After going up the elevator, we had to make a decision, left or right, as there were two buildings - North and South wings. Since our online booking didn't say which one, we tried the North. After registration which didn't take long, we were told that our room was in the South wing and so we went. The staff there just gave us the key card in no time. We found that the room was surprisingly good. The amenities provided were even better than the hotel we stayed in the city. This is a good 3 star hotel. Don't expect any luxury or butler service. However, I add one star for such a convenient location. We had an early morning flight. It took us less than 20 min checking out, walking to the check in counter at the airport. I added one more star from the positive surprise after reading all the negative reviews. Recommend for a good night sleep before...
