Hongmei Kingtown Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

I stayed here for 2 nights. Each night were priced at a differ not rate, Friday was ¥100 higher than Saturday. Fair enough..|When I checked in, I was told to give a good review on the hotel to receive an upgrade! Surely I did it. Went in the room was superb. Huge, with separate bath tub and a living room. Room had bath robes, fridge, toilet was clean. |Until when I wanted to sleep, I realised the aircond in the room was not working. I bought some perishable but the fridge was not cold. My partner and I just went ahead to sleep because we were exhausted.|Next day, we went to inform the front desk about the aircon and fridge then we went out.|After a long day walk, we came back hoping to snuggle in a nice cool room but the aircon was still not working! Disappointed!|We called front desk to request for 2 spoon and a scissors, and we were told that they were too busy to bring it up. Please collect it ourselves. |So overall,|Price- only if it's

Ok after a xmas spent in two horrible hotels, my husband decided to book another for new year! omg we were very scared! so a bullet train a subway and 30 mins walking we arrived! when you book this hotel it doesnt say a deposit is needed! a 400rmb one! so be warned! we booked with booking.com... booked two rooms same floor but at each end of corridor, ok its what a hotel should look its a little tired but the bed was huge! and comfy the bathroom was clean....tv wifi in your room and no password needed!! close to foreign street for a good night out!, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and they did state 7th floor was under refurbishment so im guessing the whole hotel will be sparkling very soon! dont be put off by renovation, its a good thing! we will deffo...

Choose to stay here for New Year's Eve as it is a 15 minute walk from Laowai Street. 1st impressions are good when you walk in to the lobby. The staff were very friendly & check took 10 minutes. One thing that was not mentioned was the deposit i had to pay for the room which was more than the room rate, anyway you get that back when you check out, as long as you have not trashed the room. The room itself was ok, cleaner than a lot of hotels in China we have stayed in. There was paint coming off the ceiling & the curtains needed a wash but otherwise a comfy stay.||||Would i stay here again, Yes if i needed to be in that...
