"I'm extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Despite setting the air conditioner to 18 degrees and maximum fan speed, the temperature remained at 24 degrees and there was little to no airflow. This issue affected two out of the four rooms we booked. When I reported the problem, the hotel arranged for a security personnel to inspect the aircon, who claimed that this was normal and nothing could be done. Based on the sticker they put at the Aircon outlet, seems like airflow is one of the issue in this hotel. Every morning I can see other furious customers complaining about the spoiled Aircon. Maybe there is some Aircon breakdown issue this period.
Furthermore, I was surprised to find that the reception was responsible for distributing daily toiletries, and room service did not replenish them. To make matters worse, the toilet drain in my room was clogged, causing water to overflow onto the floor.
The hotel's security personnel seemed to be handling tasks beyond their scope, including delivering towels. On one occasion, I received supposed clean towels where he put in over his shoulder and chest. I am not trying to discriminate, but how clean is he? which raised concerns about hygiene.
The laundry facilities were inadequate, with only three small washing machines and dryers for over 100 rooms. The dryer took three hours to dry clothes, and detergent had to be collected from the reception. Hotel should really look into better appliances that can clean/dry faster than comes with auto dispensing of detergent. Seriously, other older chains of hotel are using them but this 2 years old hotel using something 10 years ago.
There is no safe pick up/drop off point where all the Didi drivers complained about they cannot stop at yellow line.
The hotel's design may look nice, but the cost-cutting measures and poor service make it not worth the price. While a short stay might be tolerable, my week-long stay was frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, even if it were free."
After 3 nights of enduring the heat, one of the night shift ladies is very helpful to assist us to change a new room for the next 2 days. Yet to move into the new rooms. All I hope is that the new rooms can have a...
Read moreDon’t get deceived by the good reviews, a quick check would show that they reuse the same pictures and provide almost no review on the room itself. I was also deceived by all the other good reviews but here are my thoughts after visiting the hotel. I had a horrible experience here. At this price point you are better off staying somewhere else. One major pro is that the hotel is located very conveniently opposite a shopping mall with a metro station. This was however unable to outweigh all the other cons: 1. Strong stench in the hallway, not the best first impression but thankfully the room did not smell2. I booked one of the better rooms - 豪华大床房 if i recall correctly, the decor however was quite sad but the main problem was how dirty and poorly maintained the room was. Even the plugs were faulty 3. Service was a solid 0/10. I initiated a refund of the room with trip.com directly and decided to check out before finalising the refund as it was already late at night (I arrived at the hotel late so I didn’t spend that much time in the room) front desk staff was calling me unreasonable over the phone not realising i was standing right on front of her. Did not offer any form of service recovery and only wanted to argue that there was no issues with the room (she didn’t even ask what made me want to leave) Anyway I left since it was late and there was no point arguing with her. Hotel refused refund and I ended up paying for a night despite not staying. Trip.com helpline staff however was...
Read moreI had a great stay at this hotel, primarily due to its excellent location. Situated right in the heart of Shanghai’s CBD, it offers the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. The train station is just across the road, making it incredibly easy to get around the city. Despite being in a prime area, the hotel remains peaceful in the evenings, providing a restful environment. The amenities are another highlight—there’s a well-equipped gym, laundry facilities, and even robot room service, which adds a modern touch to the experience. Additionally, having two shopping malls just across the street made dining and shopping effortless. The only downside was an inconsiderate SG or Malaysian family staying on the same floor. They allowed their child to run along the corridor, where the echoes were quite loud. Worse, they returned late at night, frequently slamming doors and speaking loudly in the hallway, disrupting the otherwise quiet atmosphere. Ultimately this isn’t the hotel’s fault of course but the upbringing of these people. Overall, the hotel is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a well-located and comfortable stay in Shanghai, with great amenities to enhance the experience. Highly...
