Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East — Hotel in Shanghai

This hotel in Pudong East is possibly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in , and I’ve travelled all around the world !|I stayed in this Marriott over a period of 7 months so I got to know everything about the hotel , staff and surrounding area .|The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful if you need taxi , food or excursions and all speak great English , nothing is an issue with them they were so helpful ! |The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable with everything you need and if you need anything like extra pillows of sheets will be there within minutes , the housekeepers do a great job the rooms are kept spotless !|On my trips I had the benefit of the executive lounge on the 21st floor which was an added bonus with a great selection on Chinese dishes and also European food with selection of cold food and soups and great variety of drinks . |The breakfast selection was fantastic after 7 months of return trips you never got bored of the choice , the chefs could make a variety of egg dishes and noodle dishes , so much to chose from ! |I visited the gym and spa area a few times everything was spotlessly clean |I have to stay the staff made this whole experience worthwhile , Nicole the manager in executive lounge and her staff are an asset to the Marriott group keeping things running like clockwork making sure the customers are happy and have everything they request !|And lastly special thanks has to go out to the general manager Derek , he really couldnt have done more help , every day would be there to greet us and ask if we were happy and anything we needed he really is an asset to the company you couldn’t ask for any more !|If I was to return to Shanghai I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere...

Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East is situated on the outskirts of the Pudong district, making it somewhat inconvenient for travelers who prefer quick access to the city’s main attractions. The lack of a nearby subway station can be a drawback, although there is a new subway line currently under construction, which should improve accessibility in the future.

I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to a corner suite, which was a highlight of my stay. The suite was spacious, quiet, and well-appointed, offering a relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The bathroom was a real treat, featuring a large bathtub that added a touch of luxury and made it easy to unwind after a long day.

The executive lounge, however, was a bit underwhelming. While it provided a quiet space to relax, the selection of food and drinks was quite limited, and the air conditioning wasn’t as strong as I would have liked, making the lounge feel a bit warm at times.

Overall, the hotel offers a comfortable and tranquil experience, especially if you’re able to enjoy a suite. However, the location and limited amenities in the lounge may make it less ideal for travelers looking for convenience and a more extensive range...
