卡瑞登酒店 — Hotel in Shenzhen

Check-in staff on duty at around 1 pm was efficient, attentive, and||fast and correct. He answer all questions correctly and quickly. Good local ||knowledge. Full marks to this staff.||||We checked out at 5.30 am on 10 April 17. This staff was a bit of a dissappointment.||I can excuse him only because of the early hour of our check-out. We wanted||him to help in getting us a taxi to Futian Railway Station to take the fast train to Beijing.||This involved change of Metro Station from Shenzhen North to Futian Metro Station.||He was not very helpful telling us to walk to Shenzhen North Railway Station to catch||the Metro which meant we need to walk for more than 15 minutes to the station in the||darkness at dusk. Although we are not exactly decrepit, we are also not exactly young||and vigorously travellers. This staff told us that even if he could book a taxi for us, the ||taxi may not turn up. We cannot verify this as we eventually walked to Shenzhen North||railway station.||||Carriden can do a better job of staff training in customer service so the generally good||service can be uniformly enjoyed by guests, ...

I paid 248 RMB a night to stay here without reservation at around 3pm. On a sunny and cool day, it’s perfectly walkable from Shenzhen north though Shenzhen is usually neither. The nearest metro station - Minze - on the purple line - is about a 5-7 minute walk away. The hotel can be reached via a short bus-ride from Shenzhen North railway station...if you know which ones to take (1 RMB). ||||My room had good air-con, decent wifi, a comfortable bed though little natural light. The sink was by front door instead of being in the bathroom which is at opposite ends of the room - 601 - which is very odd. The hotel's location is its only selling point. It is located at a walking distance to/from the railway station in Shenzhen north. Just be careful as the path to the station is not very well delineated, especially if you are going from the station to the hotel. ||||The hotel's rooms are ok with television, amenities, and new furniture. The restaurants are not that good and quite expensive so I suggest walking to the railway station for a better meal.
