Hampton by Hilton Shenzhen Bantian — Hotel in Shenzhen

I booked this hotel using Hilton points, and it turned out to be one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. At checkout, they refused to refund my deposit with no clear explanation. Even worse, they wouldn’t give me an invoice showing the stay was paid with points—instead, they handed me a bill showing the full cash price of the room. Completely unacceptable.

The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. No one spoke proper English, which made communication extremely difficult. The woman at reception was particularly dismissive and made no effort to understand or assist.

As for the breakfast—it was very poor quality, with limited and unappetizing options.

Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards expected from the Hilton brand. I would strongly advise...

This is the 1st time I'm staying at a Hampton Hotel in mainland China, and boy, was I impressed!!!!! This is in a totally different league with the Hampton Brand in the rest of the world. Overall a good stay for a short trip to revisit the place I used to stay at more than 10 years ago. The room was clean and spacious although the outflow of water in the shower room could be better designed. The staff at the hotel are all friendly and helpful.
