Somerset Garden City Shenzhen — Hotel in Shenzhen

Stayed in one of the apartments for about 2.5 months in 2017 for a business trip. The apartments are quite nice, depends which one you get. I suggest to visit the apartment first, before agreeing to it. The kitchen and washing machine are in a typical Chinese "clean" condition, do not expect to much. The location is very good, the traffic in front of the "Garden City" is typical Chinese, therefore if your apartment is located towards the road, you will hear the noise. The Staff does not speak English. Communication over gestures will work but for reservation a Chinese speaking person is suggested or online booking. The Service is very good, the sheets are changed all 2-5 days and the room gets cleaned depending the length of your stay and weekdays. The "Garden City" is located in 15-20 minutes walk distance to "Sea Word" were many foreigners will be found during evening hours. The city is accessible over bus and metro (Bus: directly in front of the "Garden City", Metro: "Sea world Station" or the new Metro line "Nanhai Ave" they are building in front of the "City" was not finished at the time of my stay. A big mall with a Walmart/Decathlon is located around 2-3 minutes walk to the north. Wlan/Internet is typical Chinese and not usable without VPN. Even then the connection is reset all 5 minutes and very slow....
