Wal-Mart — Local services in Shenzhen

Also known as shekou Walmart, crowded during evening and weekends. If you don't have WeChat or ali pay, be ready to stand in long and slow moving queue. The cash counter is very slow and annoying. Located 500 meters from shekou people's hospital. There is a shopping mall next to Walmart, which is connected with a bridge from 3rd floor. The shopping mall's name is ONLY( Garden city centre) - city garden chengbei. There are no metro stations near by as of July 2021, but new line is being built, and a new station will be there soon. McDonald's, Starbucks, kfc, pizza hut, bread talk, yo tea are near Walmart. If you like halal food, there are 3 halal Chinese restaurants (small) at walkable distance. Decathlon is located in the nearby shopping mall on 3rd floor, and sundan electronic shop on the ground floor. Uniclo is next to sundan...

This is a nice store. There are many western options, but they could have a larger imported area. Although everytime I shop I find something new. Be prepared for it to be packed most of the time. Very difficult to navigate, especially if you don't speak Chinese. There are many smells that almost turn my stomach, but it just reminds me that I am in China. They carry many of the same brands as Walmart in the US. Great Value and Faded Glory are just 2. Very nice that can can use the self checkout feature in WeChat, making checkout for a non-Chinese...

This rude, old staff member offered me a little sample of yoghurt, and since I already had one, I walked past her. Immediately, I heard her say in Mandarin “ Little child didn’t even say thank you .” Ugh
