My family had a stay in this newly opened Four Seasons Suzhou during our two weeks visit to China recently. ||This hotel officially opened in Dec. 2023. So when we checked in there, it’s like a month new. We booked a lake view room. Since we booked in Four Seasons App, hotel knew my family information through past other four seasons stay and prepared some gifts for kids and rollaway bed already. Only Four Seasons would do that. ||The arrival is a little bit unpleasant. Concierge/bell boy at the gate welcomed us and helped us take luggage from back trunk of the car. Then for some reason he didn’t lead us into the lobby or showed us where is check in front desk. After we enter the lobby we were confused because we are in the middle of a cross and all three ways down looks like there’s tables/desks. Although there were two staffs, one was talking to a couple of guests, another just standing beside and kind of ignored us even I asked “excuse me”. With no one come up help, we turned right because down that way looks more like check-in table and it is correct. ||During the check-in, we talked this to front desk manager-on-duty, Jarven. He apologized to us for what happened and said would report this and make sure there will be someone at the lobby to lead the guests. ||Jarven is very professional and highly trained you can feel. He helped us check-in and showed us the room and equipments in the room. also late on come to check us make sure we got take care of. ||The hotel is new so the design and all amenities are amazing. Kids club is large and nice equipped. There has no other kids and my daughter enjoys two staffs taking care of her. The indoor pool is huge with hot tub and again, no other guest when we were there. ||The hotel was located in an island or peninsula into Jinji Lake of Suzhou. There are some bicycles complimentary for hotel guests. We cycling around the hotel after breakfast. ||Breakfast at Yunhe restaurant was amazing. All kinds of breakfast style you could imagine. All prepared on site and so fresh. Truly worth the price. ||Nightly turndown service was so nice. They prepare Panna water, desserts and glass cup, slippers and mat at both side of your bed. All towels refilled and bath tub cleaned for you. ||Although it’s first Four Seasons hotel in Suzhou or even Jiangsu province. I believe it truly takes time prepared and most staff get trained to Four Seasons standard. ||If you going to visit Suzhou someday, Four Seasons Suzhou would be your first and...
Read moreVery disappointing stay in this Fourseasons hotel! Does not live up to the fourseasons standard as we stay often at other fourseasons hotel. Problems:1. Lack of doormen upon our arrival. There was only one guy at the front who did nothing except ordering our driver to move our luggages!2. Very slow room service for breakfast delivery. I ordered simple Chinese breakfast daily since I was sick. It took them 45mins to 1 hour for them to delivery it to my room which at other Fourseason it takes 20-30 mins maximum. It also takes long time for them to come pick up the cart. Poor food quality , overcooked noodles and over fried churro ( you tiao) 3. Very crowded and noisy pool area ( both indoor and outdoor), the pools looked very nice in the photo. but in reality it was full with people, lots of noise and kids...My 2 adulte children just gave up going to the pool altogether... Small outdoor pool for the amount of guests there even though the hotel was only 60-70% full during our stay.4. Very high price for the Chinese restaurant which was so so compare to other fourseasons in China. Lack of choices for the western food restaurants. for 2 days it is ok, but more than 2 days, it become difficult in terms of menu...5. I booked a premier lake view room which suppose to have a nice lake view, except the room I was assigned to 2/3 of the view was the roof of other houses....to the best, one can qualify it as very partiel...
Read moreThe Four Seasons Suzhou was perfect - a fabulous resort style hotel in the middle of Suzhou with a tremendous sense of space. A great location with fabulous, unobstructed views across Jinjihu Lake of the Suzhou skyline which were particularly impressive from the terrace at dusk. Very large, comfortable guestrooms and suites with all the facilities you'd expect from a modern luxury hotel. The Suzhou cuisine is outstanding and the set menu the chef prepared for us was delicious. The breakfast selection (Western and Chinese) was enormous and well prepared and the coffee was excellent. The hotel has two pools, one indoor and one outside. The indoor pool is spectacular and in perfect condition. The hotel has only been open since the beginning of 2024 and is in perfect condition - its design is elegant and facilities are excellent. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were excellent - helpful and friendly. Access to all parts of Suzhou is straightforward either by taxi or metro (the nearest stop is 500m from the hotel). We were a family (parents, two 18 yr old kids) on our first trip to China, Suzhou was...
