This restaurant may have been a “National Ten-excellency Restaurant, a National Top-grade Restaurant, a National Green Catering Enterprise and a Suzhou Health Restaurant having won fame both at home and abroad” a while ago as the food I had did not feel it could compete with other modern restaurants.
I am pretty sure Kissinger would not have liked the Stewed Ham in Honey Sauce that I tried as it was as dry as cardboard and as tough as leather. No one touched it after trying it once or twice. Everything else was reasonably good, but not really exceptional, and more like your average restaurant.
I would not be upset at visiting here again, but would definitely encourage trying something...
