Holiday Inn Express Tianjin Heping — Hotel in Tianjin

HI and HI Express are my go to brand these days and I have stayed at a lot of them over travel. This HI Express is one of the best I've experienced in China.||1) Great location - it's literally above the subway station, even closer than what Google or Baidu map suggests. Getting to/from the airport, city center and reset of Tianjin couldn't be easier.||2) Room has a frig! I don't why but most Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express locations in China do not have a small refrigerator. Given how hot and humid China can be, I think it's a very overlooked item. This hotel is the only HI Express location I've been to that has a frig. I was able to chill my drinks, fruits and yogurts!||3) Very nice staff and robot - Front desk staff are super polite and professional. Everything from check in, small request and check out were done with a warm welcome. For delivery of things, they send a robot and the robot has a young boy's voice and the voice system messages are well mannered, polite and cheeky at the same time.||4) Breakfast has a variety of dishes, typical of HI Express in China. A bean-to-cup coffee machine was already available and I really enjoyed my daily caffeine fix.||Overall, I can't find a single issue with my week long stay and this...

Unpretentious hotel situated in business area near malls and banks, conveniently located right next to subway station. Large room with a nice TV but rather strange portable fridge of a blue/green color not in harmony with decor of the room but still, useful. The bathroom has a 70s style curved glass exterior with a door that doubles as shower cubicle and main bathroom door, quite ingenious! Toiletries disappointingly basic wall-mounted harsh variety, but given the low price of rooms, acceptable. Plenty of hangers and hooks and higher floors give you a good view of the city by night.|Breakfast is quite satisfactory, local and Western fare, you get the large boiled peanuts and brown rice porridge as well as toast and eggs, yogurt, fruit. The hotel loves kiddy mugs in bright colors, no elegant crockery but functional enough.|There's an Atm machine in the lobby, only 2 rather harassed receptionists who get badgered with all sorts of enquiries from guests so checking in may take some time. Very good location, Metro station is just on the ground of building. Near by Nanjing raod where are many 🛒 malls on. 10 minutes walk to Binjiang road, walking street. Downstair of the building, there is a restaurant which has many kind of food, good quality and cheap. Room is in standard 3 stars hotel. Pillows are too flat, we need to put 3 pillows. Mattress is comfortable. Television programs are not for foreigners and signal is weak, picture is not clear at all. Use quality aminities, Tresemé. Service from front desk staff is good but they can speak just a little English. Breakfast is Chinese standard. Daily maid service just refill aminities, coffee, tea, slippers and change towels.
