Dockside Boutique Hotel is amazing, there is not many other words to describe it. The price is not cheap but you get more than what you paid for. Firstly, everything is so well furnished that you feel like a VIP. They have all the amenities, you can without just bringing your clothes and facial products. Everything else you can leave at the home. They have a special tap for filtered water, good quality shampoos and conditioner, extra shopping bag made of recyclable material, chrysanthemum tea to cool your body, thick beautiful towers and bath robes, and wall plugs where you don't even need adaptors. Plus, right when you enter the town, you can take an electric car (for free) which brings you straight to your hotel so you don't need to spend time hunting for your hotel and dragging your suitcases around. The view is also beautiful from the hotel and although it looks far from the town centre, it really isn't!||||Only a few bad points although I want to stress that they do not affect my view of the hotel. Firstly, the toilets and showers are separated only by glass from the room. So the person in the room can see the person in the shower.The person who is showering can see the person using the toilet. A bit awkward depending on who your company is. Next, the buffet selection is great but the taste isn't fantastic. However, since there is quite a variety of food, I am sure you can find enough food to fill your grumbling stomach. Lastly,the staff do not speak good English but they are very friendly, and they can book your return bus tickets to Shanghai/Hangzhou/etc.||||My verdict: I...

In a beautiful location, and you pay for that so it’s expensive for the accommodation you get (we were treated for which I’m extremely grateful). ||You can’t drive to the hotel, you have to take your bags into the visitor centre where the day visitors buy entrance tickets. So it it rather busy and a bit of a fight to get near the checkin desk (for all hotels operated on the site, which is managed like an amusement park). Once checked in your bags are ferried to the hotel for you and you need to walk a bit on crowded (but pretty) walkway to the buggy station to get a ride to the hotel. It's far better to travel light to this place.||Hotel looks impressive, in old style. ||I think we had the basic room: no bath (tub), almost zero view, nowhere to put suitcases, thin partition walls so you can hear next door easily (hence low rating). But it’s comfortable enough.||Breakfast surprisingly good in nice airy room on the water with good choice of western and Chinese food.||We made the mistake of using the open air restaurant (?) behind the hotel, with the staff having the Hotel (or at least the Wuzhen site) uniform. Horrible and expensive, avoid at all costs and go to the one with partial cover next to it where they do lovely fried fish. Go before 6 to be sure of not having to wait for a place.||Best to explore the waterside walk early morning before the crowds arrive when it’s cool...
