莫泰268 — Hotel in Xiamen

We booked the Motel directly with Motel168 but upon arrival, we were told they could not find our booking despite showing them the booking confirmation.Using name and booking number, the search still failed. (only booking number is printed on the booking confirmation) Eventually, we were told even if they can find the booking, there is no more vacancy for the type of room we booked. The reason being we were late by about 15 minutes. ||||We find the Motel unreasonable as we are foreigner(without a local handphone) and with delayed flight, they should at least gave us some grace period before releasing the room.||We have no confidence with the booking system and would not recommend this Motel unless something is done...

My review may not be valid as hotel was undergoing renovations. I stayed one night following 2nights . On my return trip.the lobby was partition with wooden plywood panels. Hacking was done. The location is fantastic as it is about 100 meter from railway station and 25 meter or so from the tube. Surrounding 10 to 15 mins walk U have more than 7or 8 malls. Nearest about 100m away. Food never a problem. Small shops and mall caters to all need. Had iPad screen fixed at very fast n good price.The rooms were being upgraded so my picture were only lobby prior to renovation and outside scenery.for ppl going first time strongly recommended. The reason I chose this hotel is the convenient location - next to Tesco, close to underground shopping mall and Xiamen Railway Station. Nearby is the BRT line, which is great for me heading to Xiamen North Railway Station the next day.||||I booked the Business Queen room, which is spacious and clean, with comfortable bed. All expected amenities are available - Wifi, air con cum heater, TV, slippers, water boiler, bathroom toiletries, dryer, etc. For the lift, hotel card is required to access the floors.
