I have stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Zhengzhou East in March, April and May of 2016. Each time I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I plan to return again in June.
Service is excellent here. At check-in, I have always been greeted warmly, with a smile. I am made to feel extremely welcome. Check-in is always fast! I have never had any issues. Many of the staff speak English and if someone does not speak English well, they will find someone who does. This is a definite plus when traveling in a foreign country where you do not speak the language well.
This staff is so helpful in assisting one to navigate Zhengzhou. I needed to get to Metro - a store. Allen, one of the wonderful staff there, along with three other staff members, worked diligently to find the correct address and get me to where I needed to be.
Each time I visited this hotel, I have stayed in the Premium/Large Room. It is a big, 53 square meter corner room and comes with all of the amenities expected of a Courtyard in Asia. Doorbell, robe, slippers, weight scale. The TV is big for a hotel - 48 inches. There is a couch, separate chaise lounge and a work desk. The King-sized bed is plush and comfortable. This is not always the case with Chinese hotels. But, I have never gone wrong with Marriott beds in Asia. The view of the room is also quite impressive. Let me say this, on my last visit to the hotel a friend (who had reserved another hotel to save money) went up with me to drop off my bags. She was so impressed by the room and view that she vowed that she and her husband would stay there when I visit in June.
Location - The hotel is near the Zhengzhou East Railway station, which has a subway stop. If you are coming from the airport, you can take the speed train to the Zhengzhou East Railway Station and the hotel is about a 10 minute walk if you leave the train station through Exit C. In fact, if you take this exit, you can see the Courtyard Marriott off to your left. If that is too much of a walk, you can take a taxi relatively cheaply. Also, if you need to get to a destination from the hotel, concierge will call a taxi for you.
Although there is no pool, there is a nice gym there.
Overall, I have had wonderful experiences at the Courtyard Zhengzhou East and will continue to stay there when...
Read moreThe hotel is located right in the heart of the Zhengzhou east financial district. It is situated very close to the East train station and has 2 malls right next to it both offering very good food options. There are plenty of bars and places of eat around this hotel. The hotel restaurant itself is good with a decent variety of western food. The rooms were amazing. I had been upgraded to a business executive room for free for being a bonvoy memeber and the size of the room was huge. The housekeeping was also on point. The ambience of the hotel is like any other budget courtyard. Do not expect a crazy lobby or restaurants. You stay here for a good room but not for the hotel itself. It has basic facilities and thats it. There's also nothing to do around the hotel as such. If you want to stay closer to city life maybe you can stay near the Novotel or JW...
Read moreI gave a review of this hotel earlier this year. Well, nothing has changed. It is still a wonderful hotel, with excellent service. I tend to stay at the Courtyard Zhengzhou East on average once per month. I love every minute of it. The staff is above board, with many who speak English. If the person whom you are speaking with does not speak English, simply ask for someone who does and they will find someone for you.
The lounge is nice. It is a great place to work if you want to get away from your room.
The breakfast in the restaurant has quite a great selection for both Western and Eastern tastes.
Check-in is great. The front-desk is friendly, engaging and helpful.
Concierge is helpful and welcoming.
Again, this is a great hotel and I would recommend...
