Overseas Chinese Hotel — Hotel in Zhuhai

We stayed in this hotel via elong booking end of May . The rate was RMB 288 with rebate from elong of RMB 40 . The hotel is located on YingBin south Road , about a km from the Gongbei Macau immigration center. Taxi from the Zhuhai High Speed Train Station is about RMB 15.||Remember to fasten your safety belts in the front seat of the taxi which is a rare safety requirement. Do not go for the dim sum Chinese breakfast on the 2nd floor even though it offers 40 % discount as I find the quality of the dishes are below standard . We at eat another across the road called the Xin HuaLi which is packed with locals and the selection and quality of the dim sum dishes were good. Go early in the morning as by 10 am , the place is already full . It offers 50 % on selected dishes from the dim sum menu. Try the ' You Tiao ( 油 条) . One of the best that I ever tasted , soft inside and crunchy outside. ||||We crossed over to Macau via the Gongbei crossing . Once in Macau , take the Public bus No 3 for Macau $ 3 or the Grand Lisboa Casino Hotel free shuttle bus. Grand Lisboa hotel is located virtually at the CBD of the city. Both buses stop at the hotel. Originally, my brothers, my wife and I were staying at another hotel in early November. However, because of the Zhuhai Air Show, the other hotels were booked and more expensive!||||The room is very basic with not much a view. The television control took a while to get used to operating it with the various local cable Chinese shows. There were not much English or International News stations available here in China. Though I did get CNN or Fox News to found out if it was Trump or Hillary that will be my President.||||Other that the inconvenience of one elevator, my brothers, sisters and my wife survived the daily climb to our hotel rooms on the 13th floor. Apparently, during our stay, the hotel was upgrading and remodeling the rooms on each floor. One elevator was also being upgraded during our stay.||||Because of the construction all around during our stay, our price for the "old" oudated room, including Asian breakfast was $45 USD per day!
