I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a „flashpacking“ trip through Colombia. Sapzurro is a unique place that - although there‘s a hand ful of hotels and restaurants - doesn‘t feel touched by tourism at all. So most restaurants won‘t really have a menu and most accomodations are B&Bs or eco-lodges. Dona Triny is the most modern and hotel-ish option to stay. Located right at the pier and „main plaza“, it‘s just 2 minutes to the beach and right in the middle of everything. Still, it‘s perfectly safe (staff is around all day and the gate is locked at night) and quiet (despite the weekend where the whole town is blasted with loud music). The whole place is absolutely spotless with staff cleaning and touching up things all day. The air-con rooms are compact but with a comfy bed and small TV. Cold shower but not a problem in that heat. Shady courtyard with lots of flowers and tables. Restaurant serves yummy breakfast (arepa, eggs, fruit), lunch and dinner during fixed times. Manager speaks English. The perfect place to stay if you need a hideaway to cool down from all the heat, sea and nature all around you. Would come again! Note: We initially intended to stay at priced „La Gata Negra“ but felt the location a bit too rustic and open. Dona Triny saved the...
Read moreDona Triny is probably best option for travellers to Sapzurro.||First of all it has to be said that Sapzurro is very small and reachable only by boat. ||therefore it's not so easy to find luxury accomodation.||||Dona triny hotel is located in front of main pier and it's clearly visible to those arriving. ||The property is very well mantained with colourful walls. ||||Rooms are available in the court (very nice itself as well, with lots of plants and trees): they are not too large but they are extremely clean and well mantained. Read moreWe stayed at Dona Trinity as part of the San Blas Adventures trip. This was the night before our trip and the recommended hostel. We don't have many good things to say about here. The staff were rude, there was no Wi-Fi and the food was served cold and of very poor quality. Frustratingly, the cost of the food was the most expensive we've paid in Colombia for the worst quality meal. The accommodation was equally overpriced. It struck me that the hostel was taking advantage of a deal with San Blas Adventures given guests only stay one night - we were charged 20,000 for dinner (which didnt even include a drink) and 12,000 for breakfast (which was significantly lacking in taste). I would recommend looking elsewhere on the island for accommodation and definitely not...
