Mosaic Studios Buenavista — Hotel in Barranquilla

We planned a trip to Colombia for February 2023. ||Between May and July, we booked multiple rooms for nine individuals. We selected Mosaic Studios because of their reviews and location. ||In December 2023, we were informed that they had overlooked the fact that our arrival coincided with the city's Carnaval: the second-largest in the world, which except for COVID reasons in 2021, since 1903 religiously takes place EVERY YEAR, four days before Ash Wednesday. We could pay an outrageous amount to catch up with their updated rate, which they failed to set up until then. Our most significant frustration was not the cost but that they left us with few options. We took our time to make airline, transportation, events, and hotel arrangements since the summer of 2022. We were left now with very few options for hotel accommodations for nine people two months before the start of the second-largest carnaval in the world and the largest festivity in their city. ||You cheated us of valuable time, and it is a dishonorable practice to change the conditions of a reservation with such...

Absolutely amazing place to stay in barranquilla. The staff are so friendly and amazing! The room is perfect size and designed really nicely. It has a nice bathroom with a hot shower which is nice to have.

The TV is actually a pretty good size and the best is decently comfortable. There is a coworking space that is pretty good sized and good wifi throughout the entire building.

They also have laundry machines available and if you are there for a month, you get to do your laundry for free once a week!

The building is really secure with security there 24/7 to let you in during the night as well if you were out late. You can bring guests into your room with no issues, they just need to scan your ID which takes less than 10 seconds to do so.

All utilities are included so all-in-all it’s a pretty good bang for your buck.

So very disappointing. You can hear the cell phone ring in the unit next door as if it's in your room. You can hear very loud water in the wall when the other unit uses their shower and bathroom. The kitchen floor was filthy dirty, the bedside tables were sticky and the plug in smell was sickening. Worst place we stayed in all of colombia and we stayed in nicer places in genuine neighborhoods with love and acceptance. This tries to hard to be like LA or...
