I would give this place 5 stars, but... Today my experience started so well, the Samsung reps were ready to help — great customer service, until it was time to pay. This is not my first time buying from ALKOSTO, they have my data in the computer and purchase history, however, today for some reason the manager at the register refused to take my payment as I am from the USA, she said that EVERYONE most show the original passport to purchase from another country, this is the most absurd policy I've heard from anyone specially as I have bought multiple items with them with the same card. So, I simply told the manager that I have photos to show of my passport as we don't go out with passports when we have our American IDs and never had this issue ANYWHERE in Colombia, except for here.

The manager had three ways to identify me and still out of spite and not willing to help due to her ego trip she said that she couldn't allow us to buy products today.

On January 13, 2023 at 8:30 pm i had a bad experience where the manager did not allow me to buy an adult beverage because I did not have a cédula which I don’t as I am foreign and I don’t carry my passport. I had my state driver’s license and credit card and I have never in over 20 years of traveling to Colombia have had to show my passport to purchase something.

This place is a big box store where you can get a whole lot of supplies for your home at very reasonable prices. There's also a lot of white goods and the prices on home electronics are very good too. The service tends to be very good people are usually very prompt maybe except the girl that deals with people with exercise equipment. The prices on cell phones are okay but if you purchase a carrier free cell phone you also get one year of insurance if...
