Though most of the employees who work here are good at what they do and are hard working and helpful, the same cannot be said about the people who run this place and that is what made my stay here horrible. M**a who seems to be the person who runs this place is someone who lacks integrity and takes no accountability for anything. ||Read on.||I booked a stay here based on the positive reviews but I experienced the opposite. ||||1. The lady I booked this property with, Moa, did not greet me, make eye contact with me or even acknowledge my existence from the time I checked-in up until the time I verbally thanked her when I left. She was cold an unfriendly.||||2. I was the only overnight guest at that place and on the first night, they locked the place up before 7:50pm, turned on the alarm, didn't turn on the heat (it was freezing) and left without telling me this was happening. ||I was not given a key to the front door and being that this 'hotel' was miles from restaurants up in the mountains, I needed to have dinner at their restaurant but by the time I got down from my room once all the other guest had left (7:50pm - I checked my phone so this is NOT an estimate), I found myself alone, in a completely dark building with no way of getting food so I went to bed hungry. This was before 8PM!||||When I brought this up to Mo*a the next day, instead of an apology, I was blamed for assuming the blinking light coming from the object which was connected to the main door, that beeped systematically throughout the night was NOT an alarm...and it was my fault for assuming it and that I could come and go as I please. She also lied and insisted that there was someone there (there was nobody around but me unless she drove the car off the property and snuck back into the building and hid in the darkness). ||||It was also MY fault for not arranging to have dinner at the restaurant. When I checked-in I asked where I could eat and they told me that I could eat at the restaurant but at no point was I told that there would be a cut off time for letting them know I needed food. ||||By now it was evident to me that this adult was not willing to take responsibility for their mistakes and was focused on placing blame. ||||3. I woke up the next day to the sound of two women talking very loudly. There was no consideration to what time it was and if any of the guest were asleep. This was around 7am. When I descended from my bedroom, and now that it was no longer dark, I found the place was a mess. There were dirty dishes everywhere. On the tables, on the kitchen counter, left over food and drinks in various locations. Gum wrappers on the check-in counter. The lady who supposedly lived in the building must still be hiding in the darkness because her car and she herself was nowhere to be seen.||||4. They advertise that transportation is provided to Carerra Septima but when I asked about this, I was told they could call me a taxi.||||5. Speaking of taxis, they do not like coming up that steep hill. I had two uber drivers turn away when they were just a minute away because they could not get up the steep hill. ||||6. The shower drain was clogged badly and water would collect around my feet when I took a shower and remained in the shower the next day.||||7. Laundry Service is available for COP 20,000. My clean laundry was returned short of a top. I had to ask for it to be returned. if I had not taken pictures of what I had handed to them, I would not have noticed it was missing.||||Save yourself the grief I went through. There are far better places to stay which are closer to attractions and restaurants and that are not run by...

We were robbed at Monteluna Bogota||||On February 10th, 2018 I had the opportunity to celebrate one of the most important and exciting dates of my life: my wedding. I celebrated it at Monteluna Hotel, my husband and I choose this place because it seemed like a very nice place to us. ||||The wedding day came and the ceremony was very pleasant; we had a very nice time and all our guests enjoyed the evening. Everything seemed to be perfectly fine until the next day, when we realized that we were missing several of the envelopes with money in cash that our families had given to us. ||||It is worth to say that we had reserved the hotel exclusively for us and our guests, as we did not want to worry about any stranger crashing into our wedding. Sadly, one of the hotel employees took advantage of the situation and stole several envelopes with a significant amount of money.||||Hotel owners know who did it and know how much money we were robbed, but they refuse to take any responsibility and to give us back our money. ||||It very sad that such an important date was overshadowed by people who decided to take away something that didn’t belong to them. Even worse is the position taken by the hotel owners who take no responsibility for the actions of their staff. Their lack of professionalism only left us with a great dissatisfaction. ||||After various failed trials to solve this situation, the owner of the place decided to deny everything that had happened – this, through a phone call full of shouting on her end -. ||||I make public this event to warn anyone who intends going to this place. ||||PS. I highly recommend this to anyone. The design and ambiance of the house provide a uniquely, inspiring environment to pass your time in Bogota. I was very well taken care of. You can conveniently step into the kitchen and ask for a scrumptious meal or snack. They will prepare almost anything. For example I saw some tomato juice in the fridge and said, hey how about a Bloody Mary? Yes sir, coming right up. You can probably guess that the view is impressive. Looking out at the sun setting over the city is indeed epic.||||If you are wondering about transport logistics and costs due to the location, then it’s not a deal-breaker. My taxi fares were all reasonable and drivers never charged extra for driving half way up the mountain. The house is not really that far out of the way and walking into town is painless since it’s all down hill. When I had to get to the airport they arranged the ride for me which picked me up...
