Hotel Boquilla Suites — Hotel in Cartagena

This has got to be the WORST hotel we have ever stayed in. Yesenia the lady at the counter was excellent and very attentive, other than that, there was NOTHING the hotel had to offer. In the middle of the night, the water shut off in the entire hotel.. it was off for about 2 hours and again during the morning. No apologies, no discount on stay. The kitchen was disgusting and other guests complained about the quality. I refused to eat their free breakfast. There were cats, dogs and chickens everywhere. The pillows were stiff, the door knob on the door looked like it could just fall off. I could hear the neighbors shower through the pipes.. it was so loud that it woke me up during my sleep. On our first night, an alarm for the front desk went off for about 10 minutes. The front desk was not even a front desk .. it was just a desk surrounded by a pile of junk. The room had no phone to call the front desk when we needed extra towels or toilet paper. We asked the hotel owner, Guillermo, for a taxi and he said that the hotel phone was not working and he suggested we stand on the street and look for one ourselves. The neighborhood is very sketchy and we did not want to do that. He eventually asked to borrow another guests phone to call a taxi for us. Ridiculous! Do not stay here!! There are nicer hotels 5...

We booked the hotel to have some days near the beach. ||||The Boquilla Camping Hotel we can recommend if you just want a few nights close to the airport. Beds are clean, Roms are well equipped and the A/C was working perfectly. The Pool area was nice and clean - when we stayed there they were having some construction work and it was a bit noisy. But the owner was very friendly and helpful. Stay in the hotel for Lunch & Dinner: Manuel & and his wife cook very nice meals for tiny prices. They also offered to support with some tours to the mangroves but we left already.||||It is only a five minute walk to the beach which is almost empty on weekdays. Unfortunately so are the Restaurants around. The area around the hotel is safe but not very touristic although there are a few big hotels (Radisson,Holiday Inn). We had Problems to find a restaurant the first day. ||The second day (friday) it was busier at the beach and the guy from the beach Restaurant (Pepe - be careful and better DON'T GO THERE) tried to ripp us off with horrific...

Uno de los peores momentos q vivi en mi vida no solo les regale las 9 noches pagas( porque nos fuimos al otro día de |llegar) llegamos y no era lo que habíamos pagado, fuimos con la ilusión de pasar unas vacaciones las cuales nos costó mucho y todo fue una pesadilla en ese lugar, el sr Guillermo un impresentable nos mintió q nos iban a cambiar de hotel y íbamos a pagar el excedente porque nos íbamos a uno mejor, y nos pasaban el precio sin reconocernos los 9 días pagos una locura unos estafadores una vergüenza, la zona súper peligrosa no vimos ninguna playa enfrente como dice en la publicación las fotos no son lo q realmente es el lugar!!! |Dejan mucho q desear, me sentí estafada, burlada nos hicieron perder tiempo y Plata!!!|No lo recomiendo para nada!|Nos terminaron cobrando la cena y ni siquiera fueron capaces de pagarnos el remis para irnos, una vergüenza una verdadera ESTAFA, MENTIRA!|Quiero q me devuelvan lo q pague y no ocupe SINVERGUENZAS!
