Good Front-Desk service, Good Breakfast selection, No restaurant service but there is a minimum menu selection that for a light dinner is more than enough. Several simple but good restaurants nearby, plus 2 shopping centers a walking distance away, where you can find food courts. The hotel is a minimalistic hotel in terms of services offered, including a small room, but the bed, pillows, A/C and bathroom facilities are all very comfortable and the TV has a good cable service. Laundry can be arranged by the front desk from an outside service, which I used and was pleasantly surprised.||Being my first time at this hotel, they gave us rooms 203 and 204, adjacent to a conference center, which is used almost every day for talks and conferences. The level of noise from 6 pm to 9 pm is unbearable and forces you to step out of your room and into the lobby or a shopping center until the conference (noise) finishes. I complained that the front desk gave us the worst possible rooms, with full knowledge of this noise problem - they knew that the conference room was going to be in use all of the days of our stay. This complaint was immediately addressed by the General Manager in a very courteous and positive way, and a solution was offered and accepted by us. I thank the Management for this. Read moreIt’s a beautiful and well-located hotel. The breakfasts are delicious, varied, and nicely presented. The staff is very kind and attentive, always offering excellent service. The location is perfect — close to main avenues, restaurants, and shopping areas.
However, the rooms felt a bit smaller than expected. I stayed for three nights, and although everything was clean and well organized, the space between the bed and the closet was quite limited, making it a bit uncomfortable to move around. The bathroom is also compact, though the hot water works perfectly and the cleanliness is excellent.
Perhaps it’s just my perception, as I’m used to the larger hotel rooms in the United States. Still, I believe a little more space would make the stay truly relaxing.
Overall, it’s a very good hotel with great service and an...
Read moreI always go back to the same hotels in Colombia and some of them have a pandemic hangover when it comes to maintenance and service, but Ecostar is just like before which is great news. As some people have noted, it might not be the most romantic hotel in the world (or even on the block, now that Sonesta is there), but it's comfortable, the staff are very friendly and experienced, and the breakfast is very good. There is traffic noise, but that beats party noise. There are endless food options within a ten-minute walk and several less than a minute away. If you reserve a non-refundable room in advance on their website, it's so cheap that you might feel...
