I’ll start with the pro. The resort/hostel itself is really nice with a cool river, pool and places to relax.

Now on to the cons… When we first arrived at 4pm (3 hours after checkout) our room still wasn’t ready and there was confusion with another guest that was still in it. The manager upgraded us to a better room and gave us a free cocktail, so we were very happy and still willing to give a 5 star review. However, over the next 24 hours we were massively disappointed by a number of things. Every interaction with a member of staff we found them to be rude and dismissive. It was a lot of small things, but they added up. For example…

When we checked out to leave they didn’t have our food order for dinner the night before, so we were honest and told them that we owed money. The woman at reception then asked if we ordered any drinks, we hadn’t so we said ‘no’, but she acted surprised, asked us again and clearly didn’t believe us which made us feel very angry as we were already being honest!

Later that day we ordered some pasta for lunch. We were the only people who ordered any food so after an hour of waiting we asked where it was. The woman at the bar (who was unbelievably rude every single time we spoke with her - often giving one word answers or just a grunt) had obviously forgotten to process the one lunch order, so quickly asked the chef to make some food for us, but she didn’t apologise at all for her mistake. When the food came the side salad was missing (which is on the menu), so we mentioned this and the waiter just said that he would ask. Unsurprisingly we never saw him again, so just decided to leave.

Overall the place is really nice, but the staff are terrible with customers, poorly managed and we were left very disappointed with our stay, having paid more to stay in a nice place. We never leave bad reviews and we are generally very forgiving and easy going, but it isn’t fair on all the good places if we don’t be honest about...

DECEPCIONADO 100%, les recomiendo NO IR A CHUNUU, El servicio actualmente se ha vuelto PESIMO Y CON MALA ATENCION, hace dos años fui y había quedado encantado con las instalaciones y servicio y por eso en estos días volví a hospedarme en este lugar, aunque siguen teniendo unas instalaciones buenas, el pésimo servicio que tienen empañan todo lo bueno q pueda ofrecer el lugar, te hacen sentir muy mal. A excepción de la recepcionista y otro muchacho, la aptitud del personal del restaurante fue totalmente antipática y malintencionada.

Quejas: La PESIMA APTITUD DEL PERSONAL del bar y restaurante, fue demasiado antipática, al acercarme a la barra nadie te atiende, te ignoran totalmente, y prácticamente tienes q rogar para poder comprar algo como si te estuvieran regalando las cosas o estuvieras molestando, así me sentí en toda mi estadía por lo cual no pedí o compré más nada, escanee el menú pero no cargaba, solicite la carta física y no había, solo me señalaron una pizarra con varios cocteles, sin precio y sin descripción por lo cual varios clientes tuvieron conflictos ya q pidieron sin saber nada y después estaban en desacuerdo con los precios. Y no me dieron ninguna solución alterna. Pedí unas copas de helado y la frase frecuente en toda la estadía fue, no hay esto, no hay lo otro, NO HAY NADA, y lo peor es la APTITUD de no hay esto, no hay nada, no te quiero atender, no me interesa darte otra solución, prácticamente has lo q quieras. Pedí una michelada y nunca me la dieron. Me dijeron q no había galleta para el helado y 5 min después ví q le sirvieron helado con galleta a otro cliente.

No hay provisiones y poco personal para prestar una buena atención, no había prácticamente nada del menú, solo nos dijeron que habia pechuga, cerdo o carne, pedimos cerdo por 30k lo cual me pareció costoso teniendo en cuenta q estaba demasiado salado, no incluye bebida, solo dieron 3 papás pequeñas en cascos y una ensalada que evidentemente estaba en mal estado. Sin mencionar, q se tardaron muchísimo en servir la comida.

Para la CENA volvimos al restaurante bar ya en la noche para comer algo, nos sentamos en la mesa esperando q nos atendieran, cosa q nunca pasó, por lo cual decidimos ir a la cocina para pedir la comida y la respuesta fue: no hay hamburguesa ni nada de lo q quieren pedir prácticamente, solo hay pechuga, carne o cerdo, listo.. sin más ni más, todas con una aptitud poco servicial, ibamos con una PERSONA DE LA TERCERA EDAD, la cual no podía comer eso por restricción médica, el restaurante lo cierran super temprano teniendo en cuenta q es el único lugar en dónde puedes comer de noche (8:30pm) y QUEDAMOS LITERAL, SIN COMER NADA, afortunadamente pudimos conseguir el número de un domiciliario local quien nos cobro por llevarnos comida, ya que no nos ofrecieron solucion, no comimos nada y tampoco podíamos salir ya q era de noche y la entrada al hotel es un terreno de difícil acceso(oscuro, lodo, trocha, huecos, abismos) me sentí tan impotente a saber q fue toda una odisea ingresar al hotel por esos caminos en mal estado todo para llegar y que me brindarán un servicio de PORQUERÍA. Y tener q aguantarme porq no podíamos salir del hotel a esa hora. Hasta ese punto pensé q el problema lo teníamos solo nosotros hasta q ví q a la mayoría de los huéspedes les tocaba salir a esa hora de la noche para poder cenar ya q el hotel no ofrecía un buen servicio ni buena comida y todos los huéspedes con los q hablamos decían lo mismo del servicio... PESIMO.

4.El baño de la habitación buritaca tenía la regadera dañada y arrojaba agua hacia fuera mojando todo el baño y sin tener desagüe afuera quedaba emposada el agua en el área de lavamanos e inodoro y sin personal que lo secara.

Lo único q se rescata de este lugar son las instalaciones tranquilas,con buena vista y abundantes zonas de estar, pero esto sin un buen servicio es...

Unfortunately, it was not as advertised & we did not enjoy our stay. We arrived around 12 pm for a 3 night reservation & were given a room which was not cleaned. The floor had cat pee, there was ants on the bed & we found two cockroaches on the dresser.

When we told the man at the front desk, he laughed & gave us the room next door which was smaller. We told him that wasn’t acceptable so he told us he would give us a “better room”.

After we waited by the pool until 2:45 pm, he told us the room won’t be ready until after 3 pm. When we returned from eating dinner, the room they gave us was still full of bugs, as shown in the pictures. The bed frame was broken so laying down was not comfortable.

The woman at the front desk told us that they can offer us free alcohol at the bar, for compensation, which we declined.

They were giving us trouble about getting a refund for the last two nights until I mentioned filing a complaint with the department of tourism. We were given our refund & left the next morning.

The breakfast offered was full of bugs outside in the “buffet” the next morning, so we left immediately.
