Pistacho — Hotel in Magdalena

I can totally recommend this place for a stay! It is located a bit outside the busy village, a 15 min walk up the hill. But the walk is worth every minute, because you get a quiet place in the wonderful nature. The rooms offer a great view, with hummingbirds visiting you on your large balcony. The room and bathroom were generous as well and absolutely clean. There is a water dispenser in the hallway as well as a fridge and even a microwave. The place has a great potential. Restaurant is opening this week, managed by a French national, giving the opportunity to try something else than the relatively unpopular fried Colombian cuisine... The room offered me the possibility of seeing colibris /hummingbirds flying 50CM AWAY FROM ME! 🤗 I took nice photos of them. Pierre, the owner, will kindly continue to advise you beyond your stay, which is a great asset. The place is quiet, near one of the waterfalls and other good eating options. I really enjoyed my stay in Casa Pistacho: it was beautiful, quiet, very new but already well-equipped and comfortable, aaaand it's situated on a beautiful road in Minca! From it, we could walk to town easily as well as hit some of the natural attractions nearby. Although the view from our room was sooo beautiful that we could have just stayed there!:) Perhaps most importantly, Pierre was very welcoming and helpful --- he made our stay extra lovely. Thank you again...
