Attention bed bugs!! There was a huge bedbug infestation in the dorm and we have bites all over our bodies that itch like hell. Then we tried to talk with the hostel owners. Instead of being sympathetic and accommodating, nothing came of it at first, then they wanted to refund us 20%. After a discussion, we were reimbursed for the overnight stay. However, breakfast, which is actually included, was charged on top. Then we informed the other guests we met at the hostel about this. They also noticed bites on their own bodies. However, we were then asked directly by the hostel owners to leave the property. We wrote a review directly on Hostelworld in the evening. The upshot is that the hostel owners have now canceled our booking after the fact (!), probably in an attempt to ensure that our review would no longer be visible. Fortunately, it still is. Our friends who had the same experience were also canceled after the fact and could no longer write a review. Bed bugs can happen and if we had been met with understanding and sincerity, it would have been half as bad. But such behavior is simply highly unprofessional! Furthermore, no drinking water is provided and you are not allowed to use the kitchen. Instead, you can buy expensive water and dinner from them. The location and view are nice, but that's it. Absolutely no...

This place is an absolute hidden gem. I fell in love with it from the moment I arrived! It's easy to get there - simply pay a moped taxi to take you up. They put my big bag on the front in between the handle bars and I wore my little one. For me it was all part of the adventure and made my stay even more special.

Breakfast is included and was always delicious with good portions. You could buy dinner there. They always have 2/3 options and the portions were very fair for a very good price (unlike many hostels away from the town which bump up their prices).

The dorm was always clean and was very comfortable and spacious.

You are within walking distance to several attractions including a waterfall and finca. The couple are so helpful and will provide you with lots of advice and recommendations. I...

This hostel is in a great location with a lovely garden and fabulous views. There are hammocks and a bird feeder so that you get to see a lot of hummingbirds as well as other gorgeous birds of the area. The double room with bathroom was very comfortable. The breakfast was fine but dinner was rather disappointing especially if staying for 3 days. Highly recommend you bring some food stuffs up with you from Minca as lunch is not available. Natalia was very helpful but when she wasn't there, there wasn't anyone around to get info from. The owners are a young couple Colombian/Swiss with a sweet little 3 year old boy... But they are not very on hands and are often away. They also don't introduce themselves as the owners so at first I thought they...

Amazing hostel!!! Super new which is why it only has a few reviews, but this was my favourite hostel in all of Colombia! It’s a small family run hostel in a brand new building with amazing views over Minca and Santa Marta all the way to the sea (and insane sunsets), and is the perfect location to explore the surrounding attractions. It’s a little out of the town which makes it super peaceful and tranquil. The family are so so welcoming, especially Julia who made us feel so at home and gave us lots of advice and information and was just generally lovely!!! After originally planning only to stay a couple of nights we ended up extending to five days because we loved this place so much! A magical place 🤍
