Hostal Aquí Me Quedo — Hotel in Manizales

I will definitely be back! To start with, the location is great. You are literally steps from Avenida Santander, the main drag of Manizales. There are tons of restaurants, bars, and shops less than 5 minutes away and it is in a very elegant and safe part of town. It's easy to get here from either the airport or the bus terminal. Luisa and Susana were wonderful hosts. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great mattress. The staff was very well-informed about everything going on in Manizales, in the area around Caldas, and in the PNN los Nevados, and they even treated me to a day-long tour of the city. There is a great kitchen that has everything you could possibly need to cook. The only other thing I'd say, is that it's not a party hostel. Ich habe im Hostel für 2 Nächte in einem 2er-Zimmer genächtigt. Die Lage des Hostels ist super. 2 Blocks weiter (5 Minuten Gehweg) befindet sich die "Zona Rosa" Manizales, also sind etliche Bars, Discotheken, Restaurants und eine Shoppingmall leicht zu erreichen. Von all dem Trubel bekommt man im Hostal allerdings nichts mit. Beim Service des Hostels hatte ich grundlegend nichts zu bemängeln. Die Besitzer sind freundlich, man darf gerne ihre Küche und Ihren Kühlschrank mitbenutzen. Bemerkenswert finde ich dass als Reinigungskraft eine Person mit leichten Behinderungen eingesetzt wird. Diese Personen haben es noch immer sehr schwer in Kolumbien und bekommen oft nicht die Anerkennung die Sie als normale Menschen verdienen. Das bringt allerdings auch mit sich dass ich stark dazu rate Süßigkeiten und Wertsachen nicht unbeaufsichtigt liegen zu lassen. Bei uns ist nichts besonderes weggekommen, bloß wurde unser "Nutella & Go" angebrochen und offen stehen gelassen. Nicht dramatisch, mit etwas Vorsicht könnt IHR dort solche Situationen umgehen. KEIN Grund das Hostal zu meiden. Ich habe über Booking.com gebucht, bei Ankunft wurde mir von den Besitzern angeboten die Booking-Buchung zu canceln und eine neue Buchung direkt beim Hostal zu machen, damit der Preis günstiger (dennoch zu teuer) wird. dafür Pluspunkte.||||Zusammenfassung: Ich fand das Hostel vom Service und der Einrichtung her hervorragend. Dennoch fand ich den Preis für das 2er Zimmer im Anbetracht dessen dass es ohne Frühstück ist und das Wasser aus der Dusche durch die Wand in den Schlafraum gelaufen ist, ein wenig zu hoch angesetzt.||||Wenn ihr Fragen habt schreibt mich gerne an!
