If you want to enjoy your holidays you should avoid this place at any cost. And here is why:||||1. Upon arrival around lunch time in the Finca Hotel restaurant we were told that we need it to wait more than one hour to be served just because they had a large group of people that arrived the day before. On top of that due to the same reason they told as that the menu available was for that group and we were just left with one option for lunch.||||2, The first night there was party in front of the rooms from around 8pm until 5.30am, made by the same people whom we were negated the lunch service. The administration did nothing to stop it and we couldn't do anything as the reception was close.||||3.There is no 24/7 service at the reception. If you wake up early to make the best out of the day, good luck at getting out of the property as they lock you up leaving you unable to leave the property. Even worse in the evening.. once we were coming back to the hotel to rest (around 7.30pm) and there was no-one to be found in the reception, the door was close and the lights off... later we were told that the receptionist just left early.||||4. The poor state of repair: After all the troubles the night before we managed to change rooms, big mistake... the shower handle in the bath was broken, there were no toilet seats and if this is not enough the fly-screen was cut broken, which in the country side is a big deal as there are numerous mosquitoes, bees, and many more un-invited guesses to your room. In the morning we couldn't take a shower as the bees were coming into the bathroom through the damaged fly-screen.||||5. Do yourself a favour and don't come...
Read moreThis was my first experience traveling to the "Eje Cafetero" since I have settled here in Colombia, and this place was part of the wonder if our trip. The staff at the hotel was beyond friendly and made us feel at home. Christian and Andres were gracious host, and we're available to us at all times. Diego was the super waiter that made sure our breakfast was ready so we could run out quickly to our tours of the region. The hotel is a "Finca Hotel", meaning the place is expected to be rustic, but the facilities were clean and comfortable. A trip to the Quindío region is supposed to be about the park and the sites and the area is very rural, so the amenities at the hotel are not what you would expect from a regular hotel, but the outdoor jacuzzi and pool was amazing after an entire day of walking the sites. Given the facts above, this place was above our expectations.
We left really early the day after the Colombian January holiday, and we were going to miss breakfast. They were kind enough to have breakfast sandwiches for our entire family ready at 530am...
Read moreMy Husband and I took our family the first time 3 years ago and yes, we had to go back with other members of our family and friends. Anything I say will no describe our amazing experience. The rooms are modest but large and clean. The pool, Jacuzzi and sauna are always clean and the owner and his workers do their best to ensure you have everything you need. You can buy tickets or tours for fair price. Also, they are walking distance from el Parque del Cafe and to another little town where you can find more restaurants and little markets. We will go back again because...
