Hotel Fernando Plaza — Hotel in Pasto

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for the carnival Blancos y negros. The location is very close to all the festivities. My girlfriend was just getting over a stomach bug when we arrived. Our first night we smelled very strong paint fumes in our room and the hallway. We let the front desk know and all they said was we will open the windows. We weren't the only ones to complain...other guests had to leave because it was so bad. It took a couple hours for the smell to subside as they were obviously painting nearby the hallway. ||The next day I came down with a stomach bug which left me bed ridden in my room. The smell came back again and we complained again. My girlfriend and I were getting dizzy from the fumes.They sent someone up to spray our room with some more chemicals. No sure what it was, but it was just as bad as the paint smell. They didn't bring in a fan or offer for us to stay on a different floor. All this time nobody from the front desk said "Lo siento" (sorry). This leads me to believe that they don't really care out their guests and would rather us inhale carcinogenic fumes then do something about it. My girlfriend and I have never seen anything like it. The hotel is nice, well located and comes at first sight with all comfort. However, not everything promised was true!! The Wifi worked in thr lobby only and not on the upper levels or in the rooms. This seems not to be new to the employees, but nevertheless the reception promised Wifi in all rooms on arrival. Really unfair and inacceptable was that we were not informed about the wedding party which was taking place in the hotel. The noise was inbearable, went on half night and reduced our overall impression tremendously. In our view they should decide whether they want to have parties or attend...

Well... This place is extremely outdated. Rooms are small, crowded with old big furniture, bathrooms are clean but very old as well. |The bed was comfortable and clean.|The building is in front of a church and the bells will wake you up at 6 am! ||It doesn't have an elevator so be aware.||On the bright side, staff is very helpful and friendly, they really try their best.||If you are on a budget this is a...
