Vísta Farallones hostel — Hotel in Quebrada Bonita

Absolutely stunning. It is about 1km from the city center. It is a fast walk. The hostel is huge, located underneath the mountains away from the crowds. The views and the serene environment this hostel provides on top of the price is incredible. WiFi is super. Sometimes you do hit the lottery. It’s one of those places that will make you feel that way. The kitchen is huge, clean if you feel like cooking. The bathrooms are spotless unlike other hostels. This is not a hostel experience. I cannot recommend this Hostel enough, it was so peaceful to be just outside of the main town and the walk up and down to the plaza each day was so beautiful and easy. Jonnie was incredibly helpful in explaining the best walks and routes in the area, he gave us great advice and the treks we did were gorgeous. The whole area is extremely secure and as a woman I felt super safe to walk around alone even in the night, it’s amazing. Fantastic location on the outskirts of town, easy to walk there and back if you don't have a car. Mototaxi rides are only 7,000 COP each way as well. We stayed in a lovely upper room with incredible views of the birds each morning. WiFi didn't work for us, and the roof dripped in a couple of places during the pounding rain, but nothing we couldn't deal with. Hot water in a spacious shower closet. Very reasonably priced and very quiet during the week, don't know if it gets loud on the weekends. Would definitely stay again if I can get...
