Jardín Cocina clandestina — Restaurant in Quebrada Bonita

We had been traveling around Peru before coming here, and honestly, we found the food quite bland—especially the "macho sauce" which was meant to be spicy but really wasn’t. And even the salsa that came with the deep-fried dish was also bland. The drinks were ok, but we were disappointed when it came time to pay. The staff didn’t ask whether we wanted to include a service charge (they add it automatically)—something every other place we’ve been to always asked about. On top of that, paying by card adds another 5% to both the food and the service charge, which feels excessive considering the dishes were already on the expensive side,...

This came up as a vegan place on Google but it's definitely not vegan. They have 3 vegetarian dishes plus many meat and fish dishes (some of which weren't available). It's a 30 min walk out of Jardin and it's nice food and atmosphere, just not vegan as we expected, and is about double the cost of most other restaurants in the area.
