What a well- run establishment this is! They got my phone number from the Booking.com site and sent me a Whats App the day before my arrival to ask what time I was arriving and giving me information about the taxi price (Peso 15,000 from airport). They also advised that I could walk from the airport as they are so close. But to do this, you need to know how to find the Posada and not have much luggage.||||Upon check in, the receptionist briefed me about the island (in Spanish) and handed me a map while her colleague carried my bag up to my room. I was impressed that the receptionist had a TV monitor with camera views on every area of the property. Security is good and they give you three keys: one for the front gate, one for the door to the house and one to your room. In any event, San Andres is crawling with police and tourist police so it is very safe, particularly as the hotel is right off the board walk where most of the action and police are stationed.||||The posada is a large house with eight rooms on the first floor of the house. The house is super clean with white marble tiles throughout. The room has great air con; cable TV (as in most Latin American countries, very few English channels); a micro wave. I had a queen bed and a single bed in my spacious room. Although it is so close to the airport (a ten minute walk), you don’t hear the planes. There is fast free WIFI. The only inconvenience I experienced was that it took a long time for the hot water to come on stream and the water pressure was a bit low.||||The Posada doesn’t serve food but there is a bakery a block away, and a mini market and restaurants about a 10-15 minute walk along the boardwalk.||||I had an early morning flight to Providencia and was worried that there would be no one at reception should the taxi driver not show up at the agreed hour. I worried needlessly—he was five minutes early!||||In over- developed, steamy San Andres, this posada made my one night here an...

Read moreI stayed here for one night participating in the San Andres marathon. I shared a large room with two other friends. The place is conveniently located in a neighborhood close to the airport which you can easily walk to with a backpack in 15 minutes. Despite its closeness to the airport you do not here the noise from the airplanes. It is very quite. The place is impeccably clean. The room had TV, fridge, microwave, air-conditioner, fan. They don't offer breakfast but you can prepare your own food in a spacious kitchen/dining area. The people that received us were very friendly and provided useful information for sight seeing. There is a supermarket nearby where you can buy your food. The best is to explore the island with the small cars (mula) they...
