Las Margaritas del mar — Hotel in San Onofre

Positives: Awesome location on a tucked away part of the beach in Rincón. Reasonable prices for the room. Tasty food and helpful staff, but only if you speak Spanish (no English spoken).

The place itself is beautiful with nice art, seats and decorations around the place. However, their dogs roam without any control and can be quite intimidating to guests. The shower was not hot, which is to be expected, but it also trickled out of a little hose. The design for some of the rooms is really bad - a slippery decline right outside is which makes it very easy to sleep.

The rates include food but they don't check dietary needs or requirements in advance. I mentioned anyway that I was a vegetarian, and they brought me chicken on the first night. Still, they were very nice about changing it once I explained.

The staff itself are nice and will help if you can communicate in Spanish. Still, the owner (I think), was quite a hustler. She called at 9:58am to say check out was at 10 (never mentioned). At the beginning, she as pushing an option for a rate with more meals, saying we might get sick at other places, which felt like a lie. I wasn't a big fan of her way of being, although she was never there (we always communicated my phone).

Mi familia y yo cada año, durante los últimos 17 años hemos viajado al mar, por lo general vamos a playas conocidas. Ésta vez nos aventuramos a conocer un lugar diferente y jamás imaginamos que se convertiría en nuestro viaje favorito!

En las Margaritas del mar nos atendieron como en casa, nos hicieron sentir parte de la familia y agradecemos infinitamente por esto!

El lugar es mágico y la estadía en las Margaritas fue espectacular! La tranquilidad del espacio, la cabaña fue apta según las condiciones geográficas de rincón del mar, la brisa constante y lo aireadas de las habitaciones. Nos encantó la comida! No solo por lo puntual, sino porque escucharon cada una de las preferencias de mi familia, dónde mi hijo no come pescado, mi hija es vegetariana y siempre es la dificultad a resolver en los lugares donde vamos; pero en las Margaritas del Mar prepararon comida para cada uno de acuerdo a sus preferencias y fue demasiado emocionante ver a mis hijos comer felices hasta el último bocado.

Las sugerencias del personal para programar los mejores tours, preguntando constantemente cómo estábamos, como nos sentíamos y qué necesitábamos, nos hicieron ser parte de esta familia.

Super nice place! Very familiar atmosphere, located right at the beach (in the more quiet and chill part of rincon del mar. Food is super good and the rooms as well. The staff are all so nice and couteous!! Bring some mosquito repellent, as there are some bugs at night :)
