TURISPANISH HOTEL — Hotel in Santa Marta

Ruben was he absolute best host. We organized the stay in advance as we were going to be waiting on our car to arrive at the port from Panama. Ruben blocked out extra days for us just in case the boat didn’t arrive on time and because the week of semana santa was beginning during our stay. They serve coffee and juice and Ruben even made us breakfast on Saturday morning. He accepted our dog even though his dog had just had puppies - everything was fine as or dog is “muy tranquillo”. When we ran into a nightmare of finding out our vehicle had been broken into on the ship, Ruben even came to our rescue to help us translate with with the police - talk about going above and beyond! ||The room was clean, shower is cold but it’s so hot that it is nice. They offer laundry service while you’re there as well. It’s quiet even though the street seems busy and it’s super close to everything in Santa Marta - you can walk or take incredible cheap taxis anywhere. ||Ruben also showed us photos on his computer of all the activities that you can do around santa Marta. His students make videos for tourism so he makes it easy to find things to do. ||Highly recommend! We would stay...

My friend and I stayed at Turispanish for about three days and we had an AMAZING time. Ruben and his wife Lourdes were kind and incredible helpful. Ruben works at the local university and introduced us to two if his students, which was amazing because we made new friends and had locals to show us around. Everything was super clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable and they make amazing coffee in the morning :) My friend and I are young college girls and it was our first time traveling alone but we felt 10000% safe and secure. It was an amazing time and our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. It felt as if you were visiting family. If we return to Colombia we will definitely be staying at...

We are very grateful to have met this lovely and generous family. They welcomed us every day with coffe and always helped us with any issues we had. We just wanted to stay for 2 days but ended up returning after every short travel we had withing the country.

The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well-maintained and the AC worked perfectly.
