Wyndham Residences Santa Marta Aluna Beach Club — Hotel in Santa Marta

I'm not sure how many friends and family have written this place fake reviews to make it a four star resort! In my opinion, if you want to enjoy beautiful Columbia/Santa Marta, avoid this resort at all costs. First of all, they charged us an additional $300 for an ocean view room and when we got there, they simply said they don't have any ocean view rooms and they wouldn't return our money. As for the breakfast, it was worst than the cheapest, broken down motel and they wanted to charge $25 US for it and they were so unprofessional when they asked for the money. Additionally, the location is right next to the airport but far from everything else. As a whole, the customer service and treatment from the staff was awful and they need to go through serious training. Rooms are clan and ok looking. Service is slow. They need to bring up a notch level of hospitality at the hotel. My husband went to grab water from the typical beverage dispensers in lobby ( the ones they always place with lemon or pieces of some other fruit) and they stopped him and told him that was only for arriving guests. Really?? It is water in a very hot place! No changes or substitutions can be made n the menu. Breakfast was included and it was simple but ok and the guys who served during breakfast were very nice. if you need a hotel close to the airport, this is great, just 5 minutes away! would not recommend anything else, as it is right next to the loud airfields. the rooms are spacious and super comfy, staff was pleasent and helpful. food I would not recommend, was very mediocre for the price you pay. you have a small kitchen, but no shop close so you have to shop beforehand, if you want to cook. poolarea seems still unfinished, also half of the hotel is not finished, which gives it a bit of...
