Lap of Luxury in a great location!
The property delivers every bit of Swanky chic luxury you can expect from a Radisson Blu and just like most of its counterparts in African region it is a notch above the other Radisson Blu’s across the world. Though it is on the expensive side of the price spectrum, it is absolutely worth it as you will feel like you are in a Oasis amid an otherwise beaten down city
LOCATION: Awesome location right on the banks of the mighty Congo river and stone’s throw away from most points of interest
DINE + DRINK: Multiple options to dine and drink. One of the finest outdoor bars on the banks of the congo river is housed in the hotel along with a cool restaurant and a Club too! They also have a Lobby level swanky lounge bar. The breakfast Restaurant is yet another option that comes with a wonderful spread of local and international food!
ROOM: We stayed in 814, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular View of the Stunning CONGO river!; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent Spa quality cosmetics from ThisWorks Brand
FACILITIES: Super posh and fully loaded fitness center with a nice range of weights and Cardio machines and comes with a great view of the Congo river. Lovely outdoor pool with a sweet view of the river and usable almost throughout the year!
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to FATIMA from reservations who made our stay a lot more special than we expected it to be! Also, Gabriella and Aurora at the Front desk, the Sweet staff at the Breakfast restaurant - all need special mentions! The only catch (and a lowpoint of the staff/service ) is the fact that pretty much most of them cannot understand or speak in English! This is a big downer for non French speaking travellers!
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages and a ton of options in the room to plug in a dozen devices and gadgets-...
Read moreI am staying in this hotel almost for a month now. I will simply write down facts so that whoever is considering to stay can adjust their expectation to their 4star rating.
-I ordered room service a few times. They usually do not have what’s written in the menu. Either they are out of stock or they make something alike. Also you have to wait about an hour and half average, and that’s even lucky because here our request is easily forgotten.
-before going out in the evening I asked for room cleaning. I came back to my room to notice that it is not cleaned at all. This happens too often, maybe 6,7 times if I remember correctly. My husband once bumped into cleaning stuff, my husband said Bonsoir and the stuff just glared at him. (When I bumped into other cleaning stuffs they were all nice and I appreciate them. This man could be exception)
-the situation above forced us to wait outside the room or in the lobby for about an hour several times, and it was hard for me because I could not prepare my son to sleep even it was already over his bedtime.
-we had to change our room during our stay because no hot water was running in the previous room. After moving out to our new room I came to know that many things/features were out of order in the previous room. They seem to never fix anything.
-when I was swimming in the pool, suddenly dark colored water started to splash underwater from the bottom of the pool. Pool guard was not there at the time so I had to take care of many other kids(they were not mine) not to go near that dark splash. I still wonder if it came from sewer. The bartender was just watching us, I asked him if it is safe to go into the water, he said that is none of his business.
Now that’s about it. I don’t blame them for the frequent water outage and power outage, since it’s normal in this town. Still if you are to stay here for business I recommend to bring your own wifi. Also I had to take stairs with my 3yrs old son, from 9th floor to RC.
I do not want to hurt the feeling of good people who works here, but there are some who sees the request from the customers as trouble to be ignored. I feel ignored many times here.
Personally, the next time I stay in Brazzaville I would chose a different hotel, where I can actually rest without so...

A place to stay when in Brazzaville. well a little bit expensive but the standing is and the service quality is one of the the best you can find in the area. I recommend this place for the organization of high level conferences.
Update: February 2019 It was nice talking part to a ceremony in Radisson Blu. Only the service isn't dynamic enough with Wi-Fi. When there's an event, you should post Wi-Fi code at the main entrance or somewhere visible in the small conference room. You still deserve 4 stars. Nice place
Update: May 5th 2019 I went to Radinson Blu restaurant in order to have an online conference with Radinson landscape, it was amazing the design out there. I ordered a nature orange juice (that was my first time to drink orange pressed juice at Radinson) and it costed me less than in other Brazzaville Hotel restaurants with smaller standing. I enjoyed the experience but unfortunately the waitress told me I couldn't use the WiFi. It was 2PM and I went to have my dinner at Michael's Hotel restaurant where I've a good Wi-Fi access during dinner. I upgrade the note from 4 to 5 🌟 because I enjoyed the hospitality and the discussion with the security officer at the main entrance, people should be...
