We stayed as a couple at Seachange Villas in a beachfront villa for 10 nights in May 2025. The villa was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was big and cosy with great views of the beach and lagoon from the very large windows. It was lovely listening to the sound of the waves crashing over the reef in the evening whilst enjoying a drink out on the deck. There was everything we needed to cook and prepare our own food and also a bbq if we needed. The reception staff were always happy to chat and help in many ways including organising a car and airport transfers for us. The house keeping staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They always topped up coffee pods and other essential items when needed. The convenience store was a good 25 minute walk away but there were bicycles to use if needed. The bus stopped right outside but never really ran on time so a car is definitely needed if you want to go exploring or eat out. The view of the lagoon from our villa was amazing. We were literally only steps away from the water and we often spotted turtles swimming past. Although we did get a lot of rainy days, the views certainly made up for it. There was also a washing machine and dryer and numerous masks, snorkels and flippers to use. There were also Kayaks and SUPs It was a very quiet, peaceful and private location. The lagoon itself was great for swimming or snorkeling (we did see turtles) and very safe. We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend Seachange Villas. Thanks Stephanie for a lovely stay. We hope to come back...

Unfortunately, the pictures on the website for this unit are a bit deceiving, other than the fabulous location. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms had newer cabinets and sinks but the unit is quite old and not well cared for. The air conditioner didn't work in the master upon arrival, eventually came on but was out the last two days of the trip and it was incredibly hot in the villa as there is no air in the main living area and only one small ceiling fan. Unfortunately the unit apparently had not been fumigated in a while and there were a lot, I mean a lot of really big cockroaches (we know there are bugs in tropical places, that's why fumigation is necessary). After a phone call, it was sprayed the day after our arrival so we dealt with dead and dying roaches each morning. A few days into the trip there was no water which was eventually restored after another call. The wicker furniture had balls of debris and hair caught in the bottom and there were dead bugs under the beds, they'd been there for a while. We were so disappointed after planning for a year for this trip. We would have moved to a different location if we could have found other accommodations and been assured of a refund. We didn't expect luxury, we've stayed at rustic places and we knew it was a small island but a well cared for and clean environment was absolutely expected, especially for the cost. The other 2 villas are much nicer for...

We booked the Coral & Vaka Villas to accommodate a multi -generation family group including 4 children aged 5 years and under.|The villas were full sized houses - both 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The Vaka Villa is bigger and sits a little bit further back from the beach. The Coral Villa has a beach front deck with glorious views out to the lagoon where we sat and watched the whales out beyond the reef.|The beach in front of the villas is absolutely perfect for little ones with soft sand underfoot and not too many black rock formations to avoid. The water is crystal clear and was calm for all 5 days we were there.|We used the kayaks and snorkeling gear provided. There is plenty of it in various sizes including children's life jackets. There are also reef shoes available. No need to take your own.|There are plenty of books, games, etc in the Coral Villa to keep you amused if a rainy day sets in.|The Villas are a short stroll to the popular "Charlies" cafe and the Little Polynesian - excellent eating spots. The Maire Nui Gardens are a superb spot too for food focused on fresh produce and the best cheesecake I've ever tasted. We also attended the local church just down the road on Sunday morning to hear the beautiful singing. |Hosts Rongo & Peter were responsive to any issues with Rongo providing us some exquisite ei & Lei made from gardenias to help celebrate a special occasion.|It was the holiday of a lifetime with magical...

4 adults stayed in the 3 bedroom garden view villa with private pool. 2 level wooden construction villa. Ground Floor consists of a large games room with ping pong table, separate spacious bedroom with extra large double bed, seperate laundry with washing machine (laundry powder provided). Upstairs open plan living and dining with double glass doors leading out to fully fenced, covered alfresco entertainment/ dining area with hammock and private pool. Lounge glass doors open out to balcony with views of the gardens and beach. Two bedrooms are extra spacious with two bathrooms and air conditioning. Front bedroom opens out to balcony with views of garden and beach. Bathrooms are large, spacious and modern - some fair wear and tear to basins. Pillow cases in my room smelled old and damp. Ceiling fans to all rooms. Bikes, paddle boards, snorkeling gear available for use. Staff are very friendly. A bit far from main areas of shops, restaurants etc but great if you are looking for a quiet place to unwind and rest. It’s quite expensive to stay here, not great value for money. Prefer to stay in Muri.

Beautiful location and a well-appointed 3-bedroom villa, less than 100 yards from the pristine beach. All the benefits of a hotel (daily housekeeping, regular and beach towels, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, wifi, cable TV, kayaks, sups, snorkeling equipment, bikes, scooters, reception and concierge services) and a spacious self-catering villa (fully-equipped kitchen, detached, private plunge pool and decks, 1/2/3 bedrooms, sitting room, game room, starter food supplies). Super-friendly, helpful staff. Our 3 bed was perfect for our family of 5 adults. No bar or restaurant on premises, but a lovely cafe is a two minute walk (tasty breakfast and lunch, serves alcohol) and a small market is a 30 minute walk. Overall would recommend a car or scooters (for which you need a Cook Islands scooter licence). Bikes are fun, but Muri is a 25 minute bike ride, so not for everyone. Wifi is basic and expensive on the whole island. There is broadband access at internet cafes and hotspots, but is all pretty pricey. Unplug :)

We’ve had one of our best family holidays ever in Rarotonga, in no small part because we stayed at Sea Change Villas, such a lovely place. Steph and the team were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble (even preparing for a potential cyclone!!) and their help with hiring cars and scooters, dinner and snorkelling suggestions and homegrown dragonfruit made our stay easy ( and delicious!). Our villa was comfortable and spacious, with plenty of space for parents and a teenage daughter and great deck overlooking the lagoon our favourite spot for breakfast, sunset drinks and bbq dinners. Our self-contained kitchen was very well equipped, bed super comfortable and just a relaxed beach feeling overall. Sea Change is in a great location on the quieter southern side of Raratonga on an excellent part of the lagoon for snorkeling and swimming, close to a variety of bars and restaurants.
