What a disaster ! Absolute worst place we stayed in Costa Rica on our 3-month trip ! We stayed in over 12 accommodation areas with pricing somewhere between $100 to $150 a day Our first contact experience once we got there was you need a 4x4 to drive up the very dangerous and steep road that leads to the cabins. Not unusual for Costa Rica but this should be pointed out in the listing as we did not have 4x4 drive just a regular SUV,. Once on site we quickly noticed zero COVID-19 restrictions, super hot cabins with no ac, and no air circulation . Add to that the owner, Mr Alain, greeted us without a mask on stating there was no covid in the area which is false, We quickly became aware of heavy noise from truck traffic from the street just below the cabins in contrast to what we were told at reception, which was it being one of the quietest listings on all of booking.com FALSE ! There is no Wi-Fi in the cabins and if you are not driving a 4x4 forget this place the road is downright dangerous. I can understand living the pure Vida and you are in retirement mode but welcoming clients with a glass of wine in your hand quite tipsy is hardly professional. Never again...
Read moreWhat you see online is exactly what you get, and we were very pleased with our stay. The property is located up a steep, rough dirt road, surrounded by dense tropical plants towering over the path, creating a wonderful sense of seclusion and safety. The owners are welcoming and friendly without being nosy or intrusive. The cabins are of excellent quality, with bathrooms and showers that exceeded our expectations in both design and functionality.||||The ceiling fan kept the room cool, and the seating area with hammocks on the patio was the perfect spot to watch clouds rolling in over the distant ocean. We also enjoyed photographing toucans and howler monkeys in the surrounding trees. While the small pool looked inviting, we didn’t have a chance to use it. Parking is just slightly up the road depending on your cabin, but the owners make it easy by encouraging you to unload your luggage directly at your cabin first.||||Severine thoughtfully packed us a delicious breakfast to take on our Corcovado tour, which was a lovely touch. Overall, this place is a fantastic value, and we highly...
Read moreBeautiful little lodges. The tenants are a lovely family that went to Costa Rica to build this little place of paradise. It's clean and modern (especially for the bathroom) but keeps its authenticity and the cachet of Costa Rica lodges. The lodges have private spot to park. There's a shared area with a kitchen and a small pool. They provide the breakfast and the city is really close. They also provide a lot of useful information for me because I had to go to Bahía Drake and I wanted to know what to do in the area. It's quiet and they also have a mirador with a nice view. Note that you'll need a 4WD to drive in their private road and the entrance is...
