Outstanding food and service was perfect. Michael, Tony, and the team were fantastic, engaging, and made great suggestions. The food was superb. We spent 6 nights in Uvita and found there was no reason to go anywhere else. We stopped in and looked at some local menus but none were as good. Every night after our day trips, we finished with a CR craft golden ale and a new dish. Specialty drinks were made worth fresh frozen fruits making the best ever foo foo drinks. All meals were delicious and flavorful including the chicken fingers. When our friends saw that we like hot sauces, they made sure to bring us the hottest available. Mucho picante but also very flavorful. Thanks for being our chefs and...

Five Stars many times over 🌺 We visit this open airy restaurant regularly. And whenever we are with friends and loved ones who ask us where we want to eat- La Choza often comes out of our mouths immediately. Beyond the mouth watering food, and great service-there's lots of space, big fans, and a 360° bar. I love the ceviche and my husband can't have the chimichangas often enough ✨ The adobe soup is rich and delicious. And everything is made fresh. It shows. They also make their own hot sauces and the chips and salsa tastes like the classic version we crave from back home. After writing this I'm already wanting to go there again...

La Choza has the best Mexican food in Costa Rica!! If you’re craving TexMex (enchiladas, etc.), this is the place to go. We thought the prices were very reasonable as well for large portion sizes. The enchilada plate was so large that I was able to split it with my 7 year old. Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole are also available as an appetizer (not on menu) but makes you feel like you’re having Mexican in Texas, plus comes out fast. We also loved the extra fixings that came with each plate, including salsa, pico, and guacamole. Delicious food and great service, appreciated the kids cups being reusable here and not just...

The best Mexican food so far in Costa Rica! Pride of ownership, cleanest restaurant and restrooms That we have seen in Costa Rica. Friendly and helpful. Food is over the top and the pina colada is amazing. For 5000-6000 for a huge plate of quality ingredients made with love that bring you to tears and as I started to take a few bites I’m thinking I have to order everything on the menu and take it back on the plane. We had the chicken burrito and the shrimp enchiladas…..wow the enchiladas were fantastic. The chicken burrito was loaded with chicken and delicious.

WOW. Leaving with a very full stomach. The (vegan) cauliflower plate is so yummy and the fried yuca is awesome with the sauce/guac. The onions in the fajitas are perfectly caramelized and the shrimp was incredible. The chicken is pretty moist but much better when paired with the sauce and a tortilla. We also ordered the birria tacos and the carnitas and everyone loved their plates! The margarita is a bit spicy but very good.

We were staying up the road and I kept pestering my wife that we’d have to go there. I mean, who eats Mexican food in Costa Rica? I wanted to. And I’m glad I did. The owner worked in Mexican restaurants in the US and it shows. Such am great good. High quality Shrimp for the fajitas. Great flavor. The chicken enchiladas couldn’t be beat. They also have a killer Tequila selection.
