Must do in Drake Bay! Wonderful Corcovado National Park, Sirena tour experience with Roy! He is very passionate and excited about animal spotting, just as you will be if you are lucky enough to be along for the ride with him! We learned a lot from his knowledge and observations, and he was great about making space for the photographer of the group (me) to sneak ahead and attempt to set up for a shot as best I could.

Bring water shoes for the boat approaches, and hiking shoes during green season for muddy trails.

We reserved through our hotel, Drake Bay Getaway, and only had to show up where and when they told us. Roy was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Would recommend him and Lookout Drake Bay Tours to anyone...

We did not stay at the lodge, but we came to the restaurant for dinner twice during our 4 night stay in Drake Bay. Hallelujah, a restaurant in Drake Bay with vegan options that aren't just rice, beans, or french fries! The menu is extensive and the food is excellent. My husband had pesto chicken one night and a special shrimp dish the next. I had the same potato and spinach stew 2 nights in a row because I loved it so much and appreciated the respite from beans. The owner is super sweet and very creative, both with her food and with art! The restaurant itself is perched on top of a moderately big hill (don't worry, there are steps) and the sunset views can't be beat in Drake Bay. Highly recommend...

Michael was there to meet us at the boat despite our last minute booking and hazy Eta info. He's a good sense of humour and was very helpful throughout our stay. He arranged a couple of tours - the night tour particularly good. The room was clean, the safe secure, good bug mesh on the windows (although the bugs will always find a way in in an area so rich in wildlife). Amazing views from the room and from the viewpoint above. Breakfast was excellent in taste and value, luckily there are lots of steps to help work it off. They now have a restaurant halfway up the drive which serves tasty meals and cocktails etc all afternoon/evening with a varied menu. It was especially handy when there was a...
