Casa Garitas Guesthouse & Car Rental — Hotel in Garita

The value of this hotel is outstanding. We stayed here 3 different times, using San Jose as a base. This family-run hotel went the extra mile to assist us. We had 3 different rooms over the entire trip, and all rooms were spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and appeared to be fairly recently updated. Everything worked well, including the ac, TV, and water. There is also a refrigerator in each room. The wonderful people there were always promptly to provide airport transportation service! Their communication with us was always clear and prompt too. They even provide a video of what to expect at the airport when deplaning and finding the driver. It greatly reduced stress and made that aspect easy. One of our rooms was upstairs and had a sweeping view of the mountains. I can't believe the low cost of this hotel considering how nice it was! Stayed at Casa Garitas Guesthouse for a night after a long flight, before heading to Tamarindo the next day. We were 2 guests and they gave us a whole apartment with 2 rooms and 4 beds. Fully air conditioned bedrooms and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay! Huge thanks to Christopher who picked us from the airport and was very happy to help us with any queries we had. Our host was incredibly friendly and attentive. He warmly greeted us upon our arrival at the airport and helped us with our numerous pieces of luggage, which was a huge relief. It was such a convenience that he not only picked us up from the airport but also drove us to the car rental station the next day - an additional service that made the start of our vacation much easier.
