Hotel Valladolid — Hotel in Heredia

Great location near downtown, the university, great bars and restaurants. I stay here quite frequently and am updating a previous great review. Very helpful staff that will go out of the way to see that you are comfortable. A breakfast served that is a step above the continental breakfast served elsewhere, serving coffee, teas, eggs, traditional and normal pancakes, fresh fruit and juices, yogurt, cheese local pastries. and The downside is that it can be noisy so ask for a quiet room and the upside is that the penthouse bar that serves tapas until at least midnight and has a wonderful view of Heredia and the whole valley. I just spent a week at the hotel and I could not have been treated better and the room is excellent. The refrigerator and microwave work perfectly along with AC and cable TV. The staff are very kind and helpful. I thought the location was great there is a supermarket within a hundred yards and plenty of places close by and walking distance to eat and explore. I will definitely be back and I would highly suggest this hotel to anyone. Thank all of you at the hotel for a really wonderful stay. Joe

Hotel Valladolid is very comfortable with hot showers, WiFi, decently comfortable beds, and an included breakfast. It is also very close to the markets, university, restaurants, etc. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful with anything I've needed.||||I also felt very secure in this hotel as a solo, female traveler.||||My one complaint is that the Hotel is located next to a busy street. I live in downtown Chicago so I'm used to street noise but it was quite noisy here with honking, people yelling, screeching tires, etc. However, if you turn the AC on, it helps drown out some...
