Phenomenal Stay in Costa Rica – We’ll Be Back! (We stayed late Feb thru early March 2025)

We had the most incredible stay in Costa Rica and cannot recommend this resort highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning natural beauty of the grounds—lush greenery, ocean views, and vibrant wildlife right outside our door.

The resort grounds were immaculate, the views were jaw-dropping, and the amenities hit every mark (onsite small grocery store, liquor store, car rental, and various restaurants, etc). whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation. There are options to suit every traveler, from affordable to luxurious rentals, making this an ideal destination for families, couples, or friend groups. We went with friends.

While we booked through a travel agent, we had plenty of direct interaction with the Stay in Costa Rica team—and they were exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. A special shoutout to Carmen, who truly went above and beyond. She was not only incredibly helpful and attentive, but also had a wonderful sense of humor that made every conversation with her a joy!!!

We also had fantastic fishing experiences—three charters in total, and each one offered something memorable. The standout was Sueltalo—what an unforgettable experience! Great service, beautiful water, and good food onboard.

This was my family’s first time in Costa Rica. Los Suenos Beach Resort and Marina is absolutely lovely! The grounds are impeccable and everyone is so friendly! The first unit we stayed at in Del Mar was great! It had the best view but you definitely need a golf cart to get around as it was furthest from the restaurants and beach club. The unit was showing a little wear and tear in the kitchen but everything was very clean. There was a musty smell to the unit which we later realized may have been due to a leak behind a wall. After 5 nights the leak became apparent and the rental agency moved us to a premium unit in Marabello which was incredible but didn’t have the view of the water.

The resort itself has incredible. The beach club was our favorite with a huge pool, plenty of chairs and a swim up bar. You can also order food. You get your own waiter, which was delightful! They do allow you to bring in your own beverages in cans or bottles so that saved us some money.

The beaches are black sand so not very appealing to the eye, in my opinion. However, there are two beaches you can get to from the resort. You can spot monkeys at the beach by the marina! We also saw toucans near the marina and macaws flying overhead all the time.

📍 – Los Sueños Resort - by Stay In Costa Rica
Nos fuimos unos días de vacaciones y esta vez escogimos Los Sueños Resort, un lugar muy bonito a solo hora y media desde San José. La reserva la hicimos por medio de Stay In Costa Rica🌴

🏠 Hospedaje:
Nosotros nos alojamos en el Condominio Bellavista, el cual nos gustó mucho, super amplio y bien equipado. El condominio cuenta con su propia piscina y con acceso directo al Bech Club del resort.

💦 Beach Club:
Una de las ventajas de hospedarse con Stay In Costa Rica es que se tiene acceso al Beach Club, donde pudimos disfrutar de una inmensa piscina, sillas para tomar el sol y restaurante. Nota: Aunque se llama Beach Club NO tiene acceso directo a la playa, pero si es posible llegar tomando un pequeño puente que se ubica al final a la izquierda y luego seguir el sendero a la derecha hasta la Playa.

🛺 Otros Servicios:
Aunque no es requisito, esta vez rentamos un carrito de Golf para movilizarnos, conducir el carrito y sentir la brisa del aire en todo momento, ayuda a sentir es vibra de vacaciones. También, aprovechando que teníamos una celebración, pedimos el servicio Chef privado para que llegara a cocinarnos, ellos se encargaron de todo, desde llevar los alimentos, cocinarlos, servirlos y hasta dejaron lavado todo. Una experiencia que recomendamos para celebrar una ocasión especial.

🍽️ Restaurantes:
En el área de la Marina se encuentran cuatro restaurantes diferentes, nosotros aprovechando el 15% de descuento que teníamos con Stay In Costa Rica fuimos un día a almorzar a The Hook Up que es un Sport Bar con buena comida, y otro día fuimos a Bambú, donde pedimos Sushi y un par de platos asiáticos.

🌴 La Playita Dentro del Resort se encuentra una pequeña Playa (La Playita) accesible a todo público, donde uno puede ir a caminar, relajarse o tomar el sol, NO la recomendamos para bañarse, pero si para pasar un buen momento, principalmente al atardecer. Allí tuvimos la oportunidad de ver monitos y ardillas jugando en los árboles. Nota: hay suficiente parqueo y una ducha para que puedan quitarse la arena.

🎯 Recomendación General:
