Earlier this week after a day of fishing, my family decided to have the restaurant cook some of our fresh mahi mahi - as per the restaurants suggestion.
We arrived at the restaurant around 4pm to drop off a portion of our catch which was a sizeable bag, however apparently not enough as the restaurant instructed us to bring two more fillets. Now the bag was bordering - 3.5kg, more than enough for a family of four.
Attending to our reservation later in the night the confusion began when the waiter had no idea the restaurant had our own fish to cook. It was settled after some discussion amongst themselves.
Two plates of sushimi came out after what seemed longer than what should have been, but beautifully presented and tasted great. Then arrived four modest sized fillets - again beautifully cooked.
We joked with the waiter as to what happened to the rest of our mahi mahi, a joke perhaps lost in translation as it wasn’t addressed. Over half our catch seemed to have disappeared but we didn’t press the matter.
I’m writing this review out of principle, to me it was completely unprofessional for the restaurant to pocket over half of what we had delivered to them and think we wouldn’t notice? Read moreI visited this restaurant recently and I had high expectations from it, but I became awfully disappointed with it. Such good food, such a great location with a such a poor service... The food quality was very, very good properly Italian, well made pasta, well made pizza just as it should be. BUT ! The atmosphere was not friendly, not welcoming, nor inviting, it was actually a fair bit rude and aloof. The service quality is seriously lacking, definitely not up-to par with the type of restaurant they claim to be. They CLEARLY have some kind of issue or preference when attending clients, it is either a nationality issue or a skin color issue (I honestly think it is skin color related, because I've heard the same type of feedback from other clients in different occasions). They were rude and dismissive the whole time my group was present, our orders were missing things and some were not even completed, also the type of attention they provided us was completely different to that of the other tables, while my group maintained a friendly and respectful demeanor all of the time... Not worth the prices they charge, which wouldn't be a problem if the service was impecable, but given the situations experienced they were absurdly steep.

The food was decent... enjoyed the tuna tartare, poached pear salad, and the lamb chops (seasoned perfectly). However a few mistakes were made throughout the experience. Mainly a lack of attention at the table by our server. After finishing each course we waited 10-15 minutes before being checked on and seeing our server to be able to order the next course. So what should have been a nice 60 minute casual affair ended up taking almost 2 hours. After an amazing long day doing fun activities we left here feeling defeated.
