Arenal Kioro: The Epitome of Excellence! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our stay at Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa was nothing short of spectacular, earning every bit of this 5-star rating!
First and foremost, the view of Arenal Volcano from our room and private jacuzzi was awe-inspiring. It felt like we were living in a postcard, surrounded by the majesty of nature.
The hot springs on the property were a true highlight of our trip. Relaxing in those soothing waters while being enveloped by the sights and sounds of the rainforest was an experience we'll never forget.
The hotel's dining options were a culinary delight, and we particularly loved the chocolate and coffee tours. These unique experiences added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.
The hotel's lush gardens and vibrant plants created a stunning backdrop to our vacation, making every moment here feel like paradise.
For those looking to stay active, the gym, table tennis, and billiards room provided endless entertainment, all with that incredible volcano view.
The shuttle service to their other hot springs was a thoughtful touch, enhancing our exploration of the area.
The daily buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise. With its variety and changing options, it kept our taste buds satisfied throughout our stay.
We also appreciated the 24-hour room service at a very reasonable cost, ensuring we could indulge in culinary delights whenever we pleased.
Arenal Kioro's commitment to guest comfort was evident in the accessible Wi-Fi throughout the property. Plus, the birthday surprise in our room added a personal and heartwarming touch to our visit.
In summary, our stay at Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa was simply unforgettable. The combination of stunning views, luxurious amenities, and exceptional service made it a dream come true. We're already planning our return visit because this place is nothing short...
Read moreOur stay at Kioro Suites and Spa was truly spectacular. Our room was amazing, with breath taking views of the Volcano and a sweet hot-tub right in the room. We loved the layout of everything and the spaciousness. The complimentary espresso was our favorite part!! That and the hot springs of course which are amazingggggg. Loved the restaurant and the bar and the pool also. Covid precautions everywhere - always felt safe, its also gated so there is security monitoring who comes in and out. Room Service was awesome. Overall just an amazing stay and I would definitely come back and stay at this same Hotel! My fiancé and I stayed for 7 nights and the ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because with how big and beautiful our room was, there was no microwave, the refrigerator in the room is tiny and lukewarm - never got cold enough to keep anything in and the TV's were not only TINY but there were no English channels to watch, all of them are in Spanish (granted I speak Spanish but my fiancé doesn't). Also, there is a free breakfast everyday but there are only (technically) two (2) options and it gets extremely boring after like the 3rd -4rth day. Apart from those small inconveniences, the property was gorgeous and meticulously upkept. The staff were super professional and helpful. We arrived the first day at 4am and there was someone on site waiting for us to provide information about the hotel and show us to our room which was such a relief. If you are coming in from San Jose - the drive is INTENSE, scary, dark, WINDING, but when you finally get there it is SO worth it. Just take your time driving, stay vigilant to the roads and you will make it eventually. I highly recommend a car if you are staying in this area and want to get around for food, and adventure. I would...
Read moreLet me start with some context. The hotel has very limited occupancy due to recent Covid 19 restrictions and thus it is ghost of its normal energy. The place has many ecological touches such as solar installations in each suite structure which typically houses 4 units per 2 story building. Note the are 2 units above and below...and there are no elevators. The properly is medium size ie not too big or too small with many areas for lounging around pool or thermal pools of which there are 3 and like 6 of thermal pools with slightly different temperatures. The rooms are spacious and in our 2nd floor unit has vaulted ceilings which gave it an airy feel and with direct view to Arenal volcano if it was not so cloudy and raining during our stay. So we didn't see it at all during our stay but only due to weather and not issue with hotel location. The main detractors is service or lack there of. I saw 4 people working the whole time and when we called about issue with our curtain that don't fully close it took 2 attempts to get someone over and then couldn't get fixed and while we were offered to move it would be more hassle to pack and then move in the middle of the rain then it was waking up with 1st sign of sun. When we called to arrange a tour no one answered front desk and thus no service and poor service. All this led is to dine elsewhere and at least have service elsewhere. Come for views of volcano and thermal pools but don't expect much service here and thus you can save a lot and stay at much more affordable locations all around town if you want views and pools and want to save at similarly located hotels with low service. This is at most a 3 star place and that...
