We've traveled across the whole Costa Rica, stayed at different places, and this is the worst hotel by far. Junior suite was not a suite, just a bigger room There was jacuzzi in the room but water was barely warm, it's OK for shower but you can't take a bath in it. Jacuzzi is useless. there's no shower holder or shower curtains, so you can't really take a shower standing. Providing you can't take a bath either, this is very uncomfortable.
But all of these are nothing compared to the terrible service. We stayed there for 2 days, during which there was no room cleaning. There was no soap in our bathroom, none. Shower gel hadn't been replenished either. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7 but it started 10 minutes late. The lady who was serving everyone didn't even make an effort to move faster and looked rather annoyed and unhospitable. If you have an excursion that starts at 8am, this is rather an uncomfortable experience. As a cherry on top, some other hotel guests parked in the middle of the garage, blocking 3 cars, including ours. We needed to leave and the hotel staff couldn't find who parked there. They simply "didn't have that information". Not sure what the cameras are for and if anybody is ensuring proper parking there. The car stayed like that overnight and nobody cared. We lost 40 minutes waiting for them to find the owner. I'm so sick and tired of this place,...
Read moreWhat a horrible hotel. We had a group of six stay for one night, in three rooms, on our way down to Manuel Antonio. Each room was pretty much a prison cell. No windows, the bed had a hard, thin mattress with one thin sheet, two pillows that were small and had three lumps in them and could hardly be called a pillow. There was no alarm clock or phone in the room. The "Flat Screen HD TV" is about the smallest flat screen I have ever seen. There is also, as stated, a desk... which there is no desk. It is a piece of wood screwed to the wall under the tv. The towels in the bathroom are rough and have been washed so many times there is almost no material left. The toilet paper is thinner than tissue paper. The pool was cold and dirty, definitely not worth even sitting by. This may sound like I am a stuck up, rich traveler..I am not. I stay in hostels and travel on a budget often. This hotel is the worst place I've ever had to sleep. There has not been a single hostel worse than this place. I repeat..Do NOT stay here, it will be a waste of money. Also..if you stay here, do NOT buy water or pop from the front desk, go next door, it is...
Read moreLocated on the waterfront in downtown Puntarena, this is a good hotel if you have a good room . If you can, definitely try to book a room with a veranda facing the water. They're bigger, the views are amazing, and at night if it's stormy you can fall asleep to the sound of falling rain. The hotel staff (reception and restaurant) are friendly and try to be helpful.||||3 suggestions for the owners/managers. Please install shower curtains next to the bathtubs -- it's hard to use your hand-held shower without getting water on the bathroom floor. Also please take a second look at the very long list of conditions that your incoming guests must sign -- the list can almost seem hectoring instead of welcoming. Also, a safe or strongbox would be nice||||Finally an observation about your breakfast. In addition to the friendly staff, your coffee and fresh fruit -- especially the papaya --...
