PZ Country Club Hotel and Spa — Hotel in San Isidro de El General

Regretfully I have to give the 3 star. I would stay here again, because it done the Job for 1 night . ||The positive things are the staff at reception and breakfast were excellent. They were friendly and approachable and dealt with my questions. Secondly the room size was good and the beds were clean. So a big plus! ||The negatives, now I didn't report this to reception but my t.v was constantly fuzzy showing a bad picture, on arrival the door was open what I didn't like as anyone could of walked in before I arrived. The air con unit was a little noisy for my liking however it wasn't a big issue. Finally the bathroom was clean the sink very posh and toilet clean. In the shower there were 3 flies by the plug hole what I thought was odd, but these were small. ||Overall even though I listed the negatives, I would stay again, on the whole it was clean, and if a few changes were made it would definitely improve the hotel. I had no choice but to stay here for a recital in PZ. There were no other hotels available. I read the reviews of broken bric-a-brac, and smelly pillows; leaving me highly concerned. So much so, we brought our own pillows and towels just in case. Upon entering the room I was surprised at how spacious and modern it was. I thought the staff was above average. The pillows by no means smelled and the entire room was actually almost 5 star. The coffee bar was not stocked, there were no coffee cups. the water went off for a bit on one morning, and there is a bit of noise. The hotel is actually situated on quite active soccer fields. When I say active, I mean 5am-12pm. We were cool with it given the circumstances, but if you want quiet I am not sure you will find it. Last thing. The grounds are astounding. EXCELLENT!! Excellent place to stay. Treated us like family!! Best Hotel in San Isidro de El General!!! (and we stayed in 3 different hotels in San Isidor's area), but this one is the best! Very roomy, comfortable, beautiful inside the rooms and outside! HUGE swimming pool! Great breakfast and service every morning and another restaurant on the property open daily to 10 pm., perfect for singles and family! They have nice outside area to walk your pet! And the best of all - so warm & friendly atmosphere! I bet you wouldn't find anything like it in whole Costa Rica! We love it!!! We stayed here for almost a month. Huge thanks to manager Jeff for his hospitality and big heart and his staff working very hard to make sure we get what we needed, who really make us to feel like home, is to many of them to mention their names!
