ROOMS WHITE ROSE — Hotel in City of Velika Gorica

This hotel in Velika Gorica is an excellent value and very clean and friendly hotel. It is situated around a 10 minute drive from Zagreb airport and there is a free shuttle. Velika Gorica is itself a pleasant little town with a few restaurants, bars and shops and is around 20 minutes away from the centre of Zagreb by bus. The hotel is basic, but the beds are comfortable and there is a tv alongside a personal wifi connection in each room, which is very fast due to the bandwidth not being shared by the whole hotel. My room was very spacious and the bathroom was large with a shower and plenty of hot water. I paid 200kn for a single room including all taxes and breakfast which is far cheaper than would be found in Zagreb itself. Breakfast was the usual Croatian effort of bread, eggs, cheese, some meat and really bad coffee (there is a cafe bar across the road for coffee lovers)!. Vegans probably won't find much but...

Checked into the hotel -||4 of us, traveling back to the States with 5 large pieces of luggage and find our room is on the 3rd floor (European - 4 th floor in the States) and the hotel has NO ELEVATOR and no bell boy. Only a young girl in blue jeans that knows little English for a check in clerk Fortunately my wife is a native so language wasn't a problem. ||I should have known to ask about air conditioning but thought with the hotel being in Zagreb it would be there. However the lack of an elevator without mention in their website is...

This is a clean and convenient stop-off, within 20 minutes of Zagreb Airport. Our room was in fact a suite, with two double rooms, a small sitting room and ensuite bathroom. Although the furnishings are simple, the rooms were spotlessly clean. The room was surprisingly quiet, for a town centre location. Rooms are air conditioned. Staff at reception were helpful and welcoming. We were not able to have breakfast, as we were taking an early flight. Wi fi is provided, though we were unable...
