Hotel Tomislavov — Hotel in City of Zagreb

It's hard to write an honest review of this hotel because there's not really any fault with it in itself... BUT... it is VERY remote right at the top of a mountain about 10 miles outside of the city and it takes at least an hour to get back and forth along a very narrow winding road so, if like us, you were thinking of staying here and popping back and forth, think again. The hotel is really a ski hotel and geared mainly to accommodate the small ski resort nearby therfore the season it caters for is winter. This wasn't clear at the time of booking so when we arrived at the end of the summer (September) the pool was closed for cleaning, there was no drinking water due to seasonal maintenence and other services closed or limited etc. Having booked to stay the week we cancelled our booking and only stayed the one night. Bottom line is it's a nice, clean hotel and the staff were all very friendly but it wasn't what we we're led to believe at the time of booking, hence writing this review in the hope that it stops other travellers...

I really dont know where to start .. was not our best experience but cannot really complain that much .. its really average. |We arrived late .. restaurant was closed but receptionist and a guy from restaurant were really helpful and managed to get some apple strudle for us to keep us till morning. |Room is average ... nothing special but comfortable and warm (almost hot) considering the very cold snowy weather we had. |The next day our room was not cleaned. Tried to speak to reception but did not understand english. It took us 4 staff members to understand we needed fresh towels! |Breakfast was very good ... especially the bread! Super fresh. But on our final morning ... breakfast was not buffet ... just eggs, bread and yoghurt. |Location ... well we loved it ... but it can be quite difficult to reach if its snowing. |But overall we loved it. And if I had to return to this hotel .. i will not hesitate to do it ... I will just be...
