Guest House Tomić — Hotel in Dubrovnik

I'm sad to give this place a bad review. The apartment we booked for 3 nights was beautiful inside, had lovely views, and was spacious for our family of 4 (kids are 1 and 4 years old). But, many things were uncomfortable and/or irritating during our stay, which made this place the worst experience of our trip. First, the apartment was 30C+ when we arrived at 10pm, and all of the windows are blocked by their curtain rods; so, we couldn't cool the place off for over an hour using the AC units on full. The curtain rods also meant we couldn't open the windows during our stay - not what we want in the Mediterranean. The water heater also stopped working after 18 hours; so, we had cold showers the rest of our stay. Management didn't respond for 24 hours despite messages via Booking.com and trying to find them in person during the morning, afternoon, and evening. And the maintenance person could not fix it. There were also many smaller irritations that built up over time: no hand towels anywhere, no hooks or rails to hang towels anywhere, no wifi password available and it was difficult to track down, no bowls or coffee despite having a nice kitchen. They also didn't provide a crib until the second night, but then, we discovered that the crib was broken and unsafe for our 1 year old. Too many irritations! It seems like someone spent a fortune fixing this place up to look nice, and then someone else bought it and is running it poorly. In short, the place is nice, but no one thought through actually being here. We hope the owners will fix these issues and reply...

My girlfriend and I stayed a week here it was pretty great. Since the house is placed on a hillside you get the most beautiful view of the whole harbor and promenade of Lopud. The girl who runs the place was very friendly, she met us by the ferry and walked as to the house, giving us tips on restaurants and such on the way. She was also very quick to respond on emails afterwards. The room is simple but clean and has air conditioning. |Outside the room was a simple kitchen setup with a stove top and refrigerator. We wanted to use this more but the frying pan disappeared after a couple of days and never returned. There are a lot of steps to get up to the room, we didn't mind, we saw it as exercise but might not be the best if you have problems with stairs. We stayed 4 nights in this Guesthouse. The view is amazing, the hosts are really lovely. We paid 10€/person for breakfast, we liked it, it's enough and very tasty, made by the hosts. Talking about hosts, they are really nice and helpful. The Guesthouse offering WiFi, which is true, but it's not working, unfortunately. We could join the network with all our devices but internet was not reachable. The room was clean but the furniture is a little bit old, it could be better with some remodeling. The inside of the building is little humid and wet clothes, towels remain wet. During our 4 days of stay, the towels were not changed and they were wet all the time.
