Having holidayed on Lopud a number of times we had walked passed this Hotel . Location is perfect and we had used the waterfront restaurant a few times . (Great food)...||||Having just returned from a weeks stay the one thing we’re sure of is we will be back next year. ||||Family run friendly , helpful , great room with good size shower room ( not the norm compared to some of the other accommodation) . Only a few steps from the beach and the islands few shops , restaurants and small bars.||||Breakfast each morning was a delight basic choice of options but the bread , cheese and fresh meats were delicious. ||||We left with the feeling we could have asked for anything and they would have tried to get it for us.||||Our room had a small balcony with two chairs just enough space for sitting watching the spectacular sunsets as well as watching island life with the visitors and locals passing by.||||We did take our wee travel kettle which was a plus , beach towels were supplied and the towels and sheets were kept fresh all week.||||A great example of local traditional building with the added special touch of feeling a part...
Read moreThis family run hotel has old world charm with million dollar views. I felt very welcomed on my arrival and was amazed at my balcony room overlooking the water. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was small but that is to be expected. Breakfast is included in the price and is basic but fresh and lovely. They will cook an omelette fresh which was really nice. There is a beach right out the front, plenty of eating options, two supermarkets and small shops to purchase souvenirs, clothes and jewellery. Sunj beach is a must visit but it’s a bit of a trek to the other side of the island. I walked it before it got too hot, it took about 40 minutes. It’s a lovely swimming area with places to eat as well. I took the local taxi back, a golf buggy. They are lined up like a regular taxi rank and will transport you for 3 euros.|I loved my stay at Hotel Glavovic with its old world charm, views and chats with the elderly lady/owner at breakfast. If you like five star hotels this is...
Read moreI originally booked 2 nights but I loved the view from my balcony so much I stayed an extra night (should have stayed longer), took a glass of wine to my room and watched a gorgeous sunset. The food really is superb best I had I Croatia including Dubrovnik and Korcula, I had the tuna with zucinni fries on the first night, the sea bass and the sea food spaghetti. All were brilliant, do try the...
